Barbeque at its finest. Excellent wait staff. Awesome old building.

It was amazing experience. The food was unique, the cinnamon roll and hallelujah potatoes were comforting. The servings were amazing. The music was ?. Make Ames weird. Will definitely be back to try more things.

Ordered the brisket, pineapple coleslaw and corn. Brisket had a little more fat than expected but was tender and flavorful. Corn was delicious. When traveling, it's our goal to try local establishments instead of chain restaurants. We were not disappointed in our choice of eating at Cornbred.

We live out of town and tried after a recommendation from a local. We were seated at 6:10 on a slow Wednesday evening. Lots of staff working, but walked past us numerous times. Served table next to us. Looked at us, made eye contact. Never came to greet us, or take our order. I worked in restaurants for 20 years, gave them the benefit of the doubt...for a while. But walked out at 6:40. Waited a full 30 minutes, and no one acknowledged our existence after we were seated. Completely unacceptable.

First time there, maybe my last time also. It was ok, but just ok. I feel it was too expensive for what I got.

A great place for dinner. The staff were engaging and friendly. My kids think the macaroni and cheese is great and my daughter described the burnt ends as amazing. The strawberry shortcake dessert is an experience.

Waiting to get a seat was long, Customer Service was awesome. The food tasted like heaven, especially the half rack. Train occasionally passed by loudly but other than that, Perfect place for a date, would have been five stars but because of the waiting time, I have to give it four stars. Would go here again.Parking: Most free, some are accessible spots and some are paid street spots.

The food is really good. Had the burnt ends and fries. The mustard sauce was my favorite. The waitress was fantastic. She was very friendly and funny and actually probably made the food taste even better. Bravo.

Fantastic! 4 of us ate there before an ISU game. Every single thing we ordered was great. How often does that happen? The BEST tenderloin sandwich I've ever had!
