I can’t complain too much. They are gas station tacos at the end of the day. Everything tasted fine and food was served quickly, but food was kinda cold. I probably won’t go back, as there are better food options in Ames.

Love the food but the burritos are getting smaller every time. There seems to be too much tortilla and not enough ingredients. I hope they can get back to selling them like they did when they first opened in cb.

I stopped at Taco Rico in Ames and ordered rolled tacos. I clearly asked if they were beef and the worker told me yes beef. Then I took a bite and instantly knew it was pork or chicken. I actually said out loud, “This is not beef. What is going on here.” The filling tasted so off that I pushed the plate away like it might fight back.
The rice had a sour taste and the refried beans were somehow even worse. I took one bite of the beans and looked around the table asking, “Is this supposed to taste like that.” Because nothing on that plate tasted fresh or even remotely right.
The whole meal was a complete mess. I left feeling queasy and irritated that I paid for something that should never be served. I will never go back.

The chips are light yet crispy. The shrimp burrito was sooo good! We ordered ahead online and it was ready to go and still hot by the time we walked back to our hotel.
Food lacked flavor and steak in my california burrito was chewy and dry. The Chips and queso was not what I expected. I watched the man cooking toss my chips in a container with some shredded cheese and microwave them. Now what I was expecting.

They have a huge menu, I had the carne asada plate with eggs on top and it was yummy. I am used to the carne asada whole instead of chopped up but it was seasoned great. I am not crazy about the guacamole dip because it is pureed. Good food.

Been there twice, walk in order to go food and asked both times to please put in a couple of sauces in sack and both times they refused and said grab from sauce area the ones in cooler are for to go orders only so I assume my to go orders don't count. I will not be back.
