If you want to come here I don't recommend at least on karaoke the music is way too loud for the size of bar and the bartenders April 26 definitely took more of a tip than what I put down, come here if Cody is working otherwise stay far away

Deano's was an Ames staple. It cemented itself into the history and culture of downtown Ames over the course of nearly half a century. It's sad to see new ownership spit on that history and name. It's especially sad to lose that history to people who clearly don't respect the city, the people, or the culture. I suppose a name that trashy is appropriate if your plan is to trash a place.

I'm reviewing as part of a travelling music act. These guys were great. Super chill sound guy. They gave us $100 as well as drink tickets. I appreciate them letting us come and play our weird music. 10/10 would recommend gigging here. Cool folks.

Was just in there playing a couple games of pool with my little brother since I had an ordered an alcoholic beverage yet the rude bartender says after our game of pool we need to leave. Never in my life have I ever met such a rude woman who bends asking the patrons to leave because we hadn’t ordered a drink yet and we’re playing pool when the bar was dead and only had one other customer in it outrageous. I’ve lived in Ames for 33 years Drink there all the time After that, you won’t be seeing me there again.
The drinks are good, the vibe is right, karaoke night is truly the place to be <3 love this

what an awful place to go to "have a good time" - the bar staff wants you to leave constantly. they have a karaoke host but they also don't want you to be there. i've never asked a karaoke host if i could sing that said "no!" they must really be sad.Do not got here unless you specifically want to feel bad and have the staff make sure you're sad.
