Stopped in for lunch on the way to Minneapolis. Asked what was popular and the guy behind the counter told us (turkey) but said it wasn’t the best. Asked what’s the best- the Downtown Deli special. Asked what’s on that- whatever he decides at the time! So we went for it (some spicy meats and all the fixings) and it was great! Also tried the chili and the Wisconsin cheese soup - both very good. The sandwich I got was really good. The service was also great the guy making the sandwich was very very nice to me. I wish there was an in between on sandwich sizes though. But that’s me being picky. It’s great!
This is a great little family-owned college town, Deli. The meat, cheese, toppings, bread is fresh and tasty. The people who work there are attentive and fun! I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys a old style deli with great sandwiches!
