We decided on Dublin for dinner. We sat at the bar which may have been a mistake for dinner. Bartender was Nice but she was working alone and very busy. My wife ordered the strawberry salad with salmon dressing on the side. She thought the salad was good and the salmon well prepared. The dressing on the side was perfect so it wasn't over dressed. I asked about a couple items and the bartender recommended the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. In Iowa, the BPT bar is VERY high. She said it had been a special for 5 months and was sooo popular that they put it on the menu. May have been my fault for straying from Irish fare at an Irish restaurant. The BPT came out super dark. They had obviously left in the fryer too long. It should come out GBD, Golden Brown and Delicious. My wife and I looked at and couldn't believe it came out of the kitchen. Where was the chef, kitchen captain or server on this thing? The food was dropped and we could not get our servers attention. I ate a few of the waffle fries but they were cold and stale tasting. O for 2. I cut the sandwich in half to maybe eat the middle, but the tenderloin was so thin it looked like all burnt breading. She ate her salad and I drank my beer. The bartender finally stopped by with the tab and asked how was everything. We decided to just pay and leave at that point. It will be a minute before we go back.

Service was really timely and friendly. Got the burger and Reuben, and they were both delicious. Manager came by with bread pudding saying it was on them as they made too many and didn't want to waste them. Loved it here!!

I make sure to eat irish food whenever st Patrick's Day rolls around since it's been a lucky day for me. The corned beef is one of my favorite dishes and this place does it quite well. The cabbage is a little too soggy for my tastes but overall a great meal.

Great restaurant for meeting up with friends and catching up. Good atmosphere, better food, and great beer selection. I recommend the boxsty's, all of them are delicious. The beer selection is fantastic and there should be something for everyone; also a great place to try a new style of beer.

You have to jump through hoops just to see a beer menue that tries to get you to install an app. You get seated at a table barely wide enough to fit one person or an uncomfy hightop. You get shoddy paper menues that belong at a fastfood joint. You get charged $16 for a lamb stew that's all salt and 4 hunks of meat. Great dinner service. Must have changed owners.

This feels like a better pub. The atmosphere is nice, service and food were great, nachos and blackened tuna were very good. Out of curiosity I ordered banana beer the taste surprised me, it was like good quality-dark beer-chocolaty-banana taste.

Dublin is a staple of Ames, portions of food are great, had a Guinness burger with bacon and it was awesome! Wife had the Chicken Grilled Salad it was excellent as well. Lots of beer selections. Service was decent... a little slow but slammed due to a Cyclone game! Will return.
