Stopped in here on game day and the weather was hot outside and they had no air conditioning that explains why nobody was in there and to make matters worse the beer was warm.

The owner of es tas euthanized his ex wife dog and won’t give her back the other one and is neglecting the dog as I’m typing this. So sad! The bartenders and people of this place deserve a better owner.

Ordered tacos online for Taco Tuesday last week, and instead of getting warm, hard shell tacos, I got ice cold soft tacos. They shouldn't have been sitting out either because I arrived early and they gave me attitude about being there early. Plus I didn't order soft tacos. On top of that, these shells were so bad that you couldn't even pick them up to try and eat them without the shells ripping in half. You can tell in the photos some didn't even make it out of the box without being torn.
I tried calling them, and their phone number didn't work. I also tried contacting them via their website, nothing. So after being unable to get in contact with them in any way, I'm leaving this review.

I really enjoy going there and the people working up front have been fun but every time I’ve gone there this fall they’ve messed up my order. They put things on my tacos I didn’t order plus they use like a spoonful of ground beef in each taco. Just upsetting because I love going there every Tuesday.

I ate here as a visiting fan after a Cyclone game. Had 3 steak tacos and they were great. Loved the taco shells. The drinks were really economical too. Its a college bar but as a person in their mid 30s I felt perfectly fine in there. Even struck up some great conversations with the young folk. Would go back if I ever go back to Ames in the future.

definitely check to make sure you receive all your food. went back to the restaurant just for them to say they ran out. food is decent and cheap but service is just terrible. also if u order in person be ready to wait over an hour

I ordered a Guacamole Burger which took nearly an hour to arrive, and when it did, all I had was a burger with slices of avocado on it!!!
Well my friends and I were looking for a place that stayed open late we could get some drinks..we found one, the bartender and cook were great, the bar food was decent and we had a nice time.

They're actually closed I don't know if they're permanently closed but they might as well be in my book because if you're going to run a business why don't you communicate to your customers when you're actually open instead of having them waste their time driving out to their location just to find out that they're not open. You say they're open to 2:00 it's midnight they're closed. I'm not going to try ever again cuz this is just ridiculous

I would be inclined to give this place a five as I LOVE it here. The tacos are delicious and you can't beat the prices. It's so disappointing when you come and they are out of everything they are advertising to be on sale. We came for Taco Tuesday and they advertised High Noon on a sale price. For the past 4 Tuesdays in a row they have not had this particular flavor they are advertising. So instead of having a drink that costs $3, I have to pay $7.50. The bartender chose not to give an alternative, ever. Super frustrating and disappointing. Take it off your menu or keep it in stock.
