Food is alright. Nothing amazing but not bad. However, the wait for the food was HORRIBLE and the priority system was quite strange. My family waited 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES. For basic items off the menu. We watched multiple other families get their food first with more complex dishes that would definitely take longer. My dad ordered lasagna and got the tiniest and shallowest circle dish for $15! Insanity! We got bread rolls as part of our order, but it was actually pretty bad. It was tasting good the first few bites but at the end it was disgusting. Kind of like when you decide to eat something protein related and then you have to force yourself to finish it. It's really nice and cozy on the inside, but it gets very loud. There's lots of seating options, but they're all sectioned into tiny areas that get pretty loud once full. There's a reason this restaurant looks like its in a shady place.

First time eating here, lots of menu items looked good but I ended up ordering seafood ravioli which is $21. For that you get a dinky dinner salad, one roll and a bowl with like 6 bigger ravioli in alfredo sauce...the ravioli is big enough you need to cut in half or thirds, the pasta was tough to cut with a fork and chewy, looked inside the ravioli, it looked like a paste and they were like a third filled maybe, I think twice I saw a dime size piece of something I think was shrimp. One had something real stringy that got jammed in my top and bottom molars that required a flosser to get out. If I was to guess the raviolis came out of a bag in the freezer. The alfredo sauce wasn't anything special either and pretty much bland. I would never order this again but if I did it should cost six or seven dollars not twenty-one dollars. Girlfriend had been there before and she said her Chicken Parmasan wasnt good where as it was when she'd gone before. I'll give places second chances but she says she's not going back so it seems unlikely I'll be trying it again.

Sad we didn’t find this restaurant sooner ! I’ve been taking my daughter to Iowa State for 3 years and this was our first experience here. Excellent Italian in Ames.

We had bruschetta, cod Parmesan and chicken Parmesan and wine. It was very tasty. My daughter had chicken Parmesan with pasta and house salad. I had cod Parmesan with Parmesan risotto and house salad w/ house made balsamic vingeretta. It was all delicious. The red wine went very well with dinner. Portions were generous and service was good. Waiter, Bryan, was great. The staff did a fabulous job!

We chose this spot for our 10th anniversary dinner and couldn't be happier. The food quality is excellent for the price—especially the mozzarella sticks, which tasted homemade. I had the cheese ravioli special and the sausage soup (which was delicious even though I usually dislike cabbage!), while my fiancé really enjoyed the blackened chicken alfredo. With such great service and fair pricing, we're already planning our next trip back.

A great, quiet spot to get delicious Italian food! Their risotto dishes have all been delightful, the lasagna dish is perfectly portioned, and the pizza has been a hit! Service has been top notch, and their wine selection has plenty to choose from.

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. I arrived at 5:30pm with my daughters and high hopes based off of what my daughter had told me from her going several times previously. We stood at the door for a few minutes without being acknowledged so I asked a near by waitress if we needed to wait to be seated. She responded with, "I'll seat you in a moment." We waited a few more minutes then I asked if there was a wait time. She said no and sat us. That should have been my sign to leave but my daughter said the food was really good and I was excited to try it. So we sat, ordered drinks and food, and chatted. An hour and a half passes, it is now 7pm, and we have been served one drink each, one diner salad, and a small order of fries. Also, in this time, we have watched 4 tables that came in a significant amount of time after us, be served with 2 of the 4 having also paid and left. At this point, we are tired, annoyed, no longer hungry, and just want to leave as we still have an hour drive home. I tell the waitress that we no longer want to wait for our food and that I would just like the check for what we had been served so we could leave. She was very sweet and apologetic and had come to the table several times over the hour and a half apologizing and had asked the kitchen several times for an update on our order. I do not blame the waitress at all. I do, however feel bad that she has to deal with the manchild masquerading as the owner. Here enters the problem. The owner, who is also the chef, could not accept that a patron dared to be dissatisfied with the wait time and the fact that they watched 4 tables that came in after them, be served large made to order pizzas before their simple chicken and pasta dishes could manage to be served. Because of this, he decided to come out of his cave and try to bully me into taking the food so that I would have to pay for it. When I did not cave to his will and told him it had been an hour and a half. I was sick of watching people that had arrived well after me, be served before me, and that I just wanted to pay for my drinks and leave. He then tried arguing with me about whether or not it had been an hour and a half and tried to accused me of yelling at his waitress. Even his waitress spoke up and said I never yelled at her. At this point I realized I was dealing with the biggest manchild I've ever encountered and decided to stand up and remove myself from the conversation. He then felt that it was in his right to raise his voice, point his finger in my face, and tell me, "You can't leave! I'm talking to you!" I ignored his audacity and continued to walk away. I went up to the bar and said, "How much do I owe for my drinks so I can leave?" and was told by the bartender that I could just go. I reiterated that I had not paid for my drinks and she said it was fine. So, after an hour and a half and the worst experience in a restaurant of my life, we left with empty bellies and a lesson in reading the reviews before picking a place to eat.
If I could give zero stars, I would.
My family and I arrived around 5:30 p.m. and waited over an hour and a half for our food. During that time, we only received drinks, a salad, and fries. When my mother expressed her frustration and said we no longer wished to wait for the rest of our order, she offered to pay for what we had received.
At that point, the owner came out and became visibly upset. He raised his voice, pointed his finger in her face, and accused her of being rude. When my mother tried to step away from the confrontation, he tried telling her she couldn’t leave because he was talking to her.
We ultimately decided to walk out. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I truly feel for the staff if this is how the owner treats customers.

We absolutely love this place! Amazing food! However one of the new male servers, name starts with an A. Not a fan… my drivers license is still a vertical one I am of legal age to drink but he refused me my drink because I don’t have a horizontal license…. I have never heard of that in my life… if I can purchase alcohol at Walmart with it. My license should be fine here.. it scans all the same if you must scan it. We will totally be back but will avoid this server.

Lots of delicious options. Friend had lasagne. I had eggplant parmesan and spaghetti. We both had side salads and rolls. Their pizza 🍕 looked delicious but that will have to wait for my next trip from the west coast. But you locals—-what a gastronomic jackpot this is!!
I ordered a pizza from here and they were a little busy. But it took them 1 hour to cook my 1 pizza when I was told that it would be 20 to 25 minutes. Then on top of that they acted like it was rude when I asked hey what's going on after standing there for 35 extra minutes.
