Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are large, but food is a little below par. Sesame chicken was not very crispy, instead soft like a mush with sauce. Noodles were decent though.

Some of the food is gross through delivery. I had undercooked beef and chicken and the sesame chicken was rock hard. But dining in is so good! Never can go wrong with dining in for some hy-chi!

The latest Hy-Vee commercial is set to that 80-90's tune "..be a HERO till the end of the night." I'm here to say that the custodians, employees and managerial staff are second to none when it comes to being a HERO. Employees at the Hy-Vee West in Ames are "killing it."
