the food they sent was fine, but not what I ordered. they couldn't figure out how to refund my money, and got really upset at me on the phone. I asked for a manager, but was just passed to a different employee who also couldn't do anything to help. not the first time they've messed up my food, but definitely the last.

Didn’t photograph but they had such flavorful tempura shrimp and the bento box was one of the best I’ve had. We just left and can’t stop raving about the good food we have had.

Ordered Gyoza and Ichiban Ramen. Gyoza was deep fried and bland. Ramen broth and pork was wonderful. I'm disappointed the egg was hard boiled and not marinated. I'll be back to try a few other things that looked interesting.

Lovely quiet restaurant with delicious food. The ramen is delicious and filling, and at about 11 dollars a bowl it feels like a meal for a king. The broths are flavorful, the meats are cooked to perfection, the boiled eggs warm and soft, the noodles neverending... all around a great spot for a big meal for a reasonable price.

The place was awesome. We had a group of 7 of us walk in to an already pretty crowded restaurant and the guy who I'm assuming was the manager welcomed us in and even helped us move a couple tables together to accommodate all of us. The menus were easy to navigate and there were many great options. We were able to order right away, and the food only took about 10-15 minutes to get everything out. I got the Komodo Sticks, a Philadelphia Roll, and the Blizzard Roll and all were top of the line. For sure the best sushi in Ames and it isn't particularly close. The rest of my group also were very happy with everything they got. I will add that it was all reasonably priced as well. All in all, a surprisingly great experience and I 100% would recommend it to anyone. Phenomenal service, very short wait, wonderful food, and a comfortable environment. 10/10

James took care of us while we were there. He was so funny and friendly and informative. He completely made the experience for us. Definitely will be back to see him for sure. The food he suggested was really good too.

Do not get ramen or miso soup here.I'm from out of town so I'm a bit spoiled with authentic ramen where I live- this was certainly an attempt. The tea egg was good and the chicken was seasoned and buttery, however, the broth flavor reminded me of vomit and the noodles were extremely pungent. My friend, who got the appetizers, said they were alright, and the sushi was just fine too. I got sick after the ramen, however (about two hours later) which has never happened in all my years of eating restaurant ramen. The staff was at least very friendly and the wait wasn't too bad. Just disappointing that the ramen wasn't great.

Not too far of a walk from Iowa State University, and located in a vibrant district in campus town. I absolutely love the meals that come in their bento boxes.

I am Japanese.I was surprised to get sushi that tasted just like in Japan, without teriyaki or chili sauce.

Great service and food. Smaller location and menu. Received our food in a timely manner and it was very good. Seems like it's popular as others were waiting for a table.

Amazing service, the food was bland. I ordered a chicken ramen soup without the spice and it had no seasoning. My mistake because the seasoning was probably all in the spice. Regardless of my choose the noodles tasted literally like pasta straight from the pot.
