Only 4 stars because some of the food was a little less fresh than I would like but still pretty tasty. They had great fruit options and very good baked salmon in a garlic lemon sauce.

Lunch was late for me today [1:40p] but the buffet was very good! I used to drive just 10-minutes to Perry for a great buffet [Metro Buffet] that went to crap when the new owner took over & now drive 35-minutes to Ames since it became the Jade Dragon and have never been disappointed! I know that some buffets lack keeping things fresh but for the most part, the folks at Jade Dragon do a great job!

Boy what a difference from the old Mongolian Grill to the NEW JADE DRAGON!!! New ownership, friendly staff and DELICIOUS FOOD!!! I really have enjoyed the difference since my ole regular in Perry went to the crappers! Looking forward to seeing new dishes to try when they get it all mastered. LOTS & LOTS of choices!

If you are here for the hibachi, you’d better turn around and go somewhere else. Tried the teriyaki sauce (I’d had it previously under the old management and loved it) I don’t know if the sauce went bad or they just changed it but it tasted absolutely disgusting. Tastes like the teriyaki marinade you use for steaks. The hibachi teriyaki sauce is completely different and tastes horrible. I was super bummed :(

Diahrrea now after eating questionable chinese food. Felt like some ingredients were rotten. Food poisoning. Very bad. Avoid if you dont want to get very sick.
Decent deal. Plus you can get just water. I hate paying for drinks when all I want is tap water. No senior discount though. It is priced about right for what they offer. Way better than the last owners.

We stopped for dinner. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was great, even though we just got water the waitress made sure our glasses were never empty. We have stopped before and will stop again in the future. It's always nice to know there's a place that's consistent in quality and service!!

went for the first time since it changed from Mongolian buffet right at opening time.. the sweet and sour sauce already had thick film over it and the garlic bread was really soggy. the rest of the food I tried was just ok. staff was friendly and quick with refills

Hot sour soup was more sour than hot. First time I have seen red cabbage added in place of mushrooms. Very sad. Egg rolls tasted doughy on the inside. Main dishes were however very delicious.
