Service is good but the place itself looks in very poor shape, food is decent so long as you get it to go

Most negative reviews are accurate. Poor parking lot, dirty floor, knats around soda machine. Food was typical KFC, but not the best I've had. Recently tried to go there and was told they were closing early (doors were locked , yelled from inside) On Saturday drove by to see two employees arguing in the parking lot. I drove to the Akeney store instead of going to this store. Would stay away if you have the choice.

The cookies suck, and the new menu changes make it difficult for me to order what I used to. The chicken I got was sub par and the restaurant in general was not as well kept as I would like (cracked door with nothing to cover or alert for broken glass). The biscuits and other stuff are still all good but I feel like the chain is going down hill.

Predecessor: the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars rather than 1 is because the chicken tastes pretty good! However...... this is the most unprofessionally run establishment I have ever been to. The management is absolutely atrocious. We arrived at 7 pm (they close at 8 pm) and waited maybe 5 minutes before one of the employees decided to assist us. Then, after we placed our orders, the next customers were told there was little to no chicken left (understandable since it was close to closing, however maybe close early or give warning prior to stopping). Rather than trying to work this out with the customer and apologize, the manager spouted off some sarcastic remarks and was extremely rude to the customers. Any business I have been apart of has been a firm believer that the customer is always right. However, at the Ames KFC, apparently the manager reigns supreme and likes to pretend the paying customers don't pay his salary. Unreal. This store needs better management or better regulation. The kitchen was also atrocious, I saw visible holes in the wall by the floor (ew).

Couldn't be any worse. 1 manager and 1 employee working. No white meat with out a "17 minute wait" at noon. Manager complained about employees non stop and talked about a new job. Food cold. Dining area filthy. This place never gets better.
