I love this place and their ice cream, I just wish they were open later into the evenings for ice cream in the summer. Sometimes I want hard scoop ice cream at 7 or 8 pm, but they usually close at 5 or 6.

My favorite food is grapefruit. I’m kind of a snob when it comes to grapefruit flavored things. Marmalade Moon’s grapefruit ice cream is delicious. 10/10 That flavor and this place are perfect. Don’t change a thing!

After quite a hectic and frustrating few days, my wife and I needed a mental health day. If had been a few years since we browsed downtown Ames. We stumbled upon Marmalade Moon quite by accident. What a fantastic place! The owners are just wonderful people. The ice cream and sorbet are all made in house. To date they have mixed over 150 flavors.
