Absolutely stunning food! We had pavlova, spinach raspberry cake, and a quiche. All of it was amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They have all sorts of descriptions of the food on the walls that give a history of the food from Ukraine. As someone from Minnesota, I would come back here just for this place.
Stopped in Ames for lunch on the way to Minneapolis and spotted this bakery on the way out. Honestly just popped in looking for coffee but had to try some bakery items. Got a stollen and the cherry & chocolate cookie. Both were amazing and I wish we’d bought more to take on our drive! The sourdough looked really good as well. Definitely a hidden gem not too far off the interstate.
I would come everyday if I could but I live an hour and half away. I had the cake Kyiv and what I liked about the cake was it was sweet but not to heavy on sweetness and that is the way I like it. There were a lot more options but unfortunately I was in a hurry and couldn't have everything. I do hope to come back if I am ever in town again.
