Stopped in Ames for lunch on the way to Minneapolis and spotted this bakery on the way out. Honestly just popped in looking for coffee but had to try some bakery items. Got a stollen and the cherry & chocolate cookie. Both were amazing and I wish we’d bought more to take on our drive! The sourdough looked really good as well. Definitely a hidden gem not too far off the interstate.
I would come everyday if I could but I live an hour and half away. I had the cake Kyiv and what I liked about the cake was it was sweet but not to heavy on sweetness and that is the way I like it. There were a lot more options but unfortunately I was in a hurry and couldn't have everything. I do hope to come back if I am ever in town again.
I love this bakery and the people that run it. Family favorites are the cabbage rollini, Kiev cake, spinach raspberry cake and anything they make with their shortbread cookies! So glad they are here. 😊
