Our new favorite spot in Ames! This was our second visit, and our family of four had no complaints. The food tastes as amazing as it looks. If you’re in Ames, definitely make sure to stop by – you won’t be disappointed!”
Actually I knew the owner Mr. Potter, we worked together at Iowa State University, so I know how good he is for Food Service.

Honey straws were good.
Haha you don't take criticism well do you?
Don't know how the food was almost ready. Wasn't ever able to ring us up.
The whole family had an excellent lunch at Potter's. Even the picky 8 year old who eats about 3 different things.😋We will definitely be back the next time we are in Ames.
What a wonderful luncheon addition for Ames. I appreciate all of the fresh ingredients that are included. I especially enjoyed the Roasted Asparagus and Mushroom Quiche with a fresh side salad and on another trip I got the Southwest Birria Beef French Dip (SO GOOD!). Highly recommend!

This place is so fun. Order the absolutely delicious food from such a friendly crew and then shop a little antique shop while you wait. Can't wait to visit again.

We tried Potter’s today when downtown for the farmer’s market, and we are glad we did! We ordered Americanos, iced chai, veggie breakfast sandwich, sausage breakfast sandwich, and beef breakfast burrito. Everything was delicious! Also, the atmosphere was modern but cozy with lots of sunlight. Everyone working was extremely friendly. We’ll definitely be back!

I was at Potters today for lunch and had the best quiche I’ve had in a long time. I enjoyed my time there immensely. Thank you.

I love that it’s a locally owned family ran business! Really great people who have poured their passion into the local community. Great pastries, and sandwiches! Definitely give it a shot, you’ll be glad you did!
Love the calming downtown space and good coffee.
Ordered take out for a group lunch and had a great experience. We tried a variety of items across the menu and all were delicious. Will definitely order again, thank you!
