Every barista I've had here has been incredibly kind and pleasant. My order is always made correctly, and any time there has been a minor mistake it's been fixed immediately, no questions asked. My favorite starbucks not just in Ames, but in Iowa!

As someone who almost never reviews anything, I was extremely disappointed in the customer service I received. I informed the drive through cashier that one of my drinks was made incorrectly, and also showed her my online order and was met with nothing but passive aggressive irritation. As someone who works in the service industry it was 100% off-putting to witness workers being so blatantly rude to a customer. It is always the customers right to inform establishments when their orders are wrong.

Placed an online order for pickup and my coffee was being placed on the counter as I was walking up. I ordered my extra hot cappuccino and it did not disappoint. We are back on the road and I’m enjoying every creamy mouthful. Made my day 🩷
I didn’t get to sit down in the store, but I could tell that the atmosphere was good… the table layout was nice and there were a couple people around.

It's rare for me personally to give this kinda high praise to Ames, for all three locations are on top of it! Also, thank you to your reward system! I absolutely love the spontaneous gift. Anyone who knows me personally knows coffee is my love language! A berista transformed my drink into something magical! Thank you so much for your expertise!
Strangely unpleasant Starbucks. I came in recently with my sister who had placed a mobile order for our drinks. The big woman behind the bar barked at us and just said "NAME?!?" No hello or anything. It was like being at a DMV or a Burger King. Starbucks is just another fast food place now, I guess. Our beverages were fine, but we had an uneasy feeling even sitting in the cafe space and so we left early. Also a really dreary interior with no warmth or character.

Ordered an iced matcha latte with *light ice* and pictured is the ice I got. The baristas didn't seem very thrilled to be working, as their attitudes when we ordered were very lackluster. The drink was also made incorrectly with the wrong milk, but it was fixed before I received it. My friend ordered a refresher, and received a completely different drink. Overall not a good experience, and not worth the $14 I spent on drinks.
