i came through the drive through at this starbucks at 10:15 AM on march 11 (today as i am writing this) and ordered the matcha lavender drink. it was the best drink i have ever had from starbucks, and the worker who made it should get a raise tbh.

Starbucks is expert at hiding the fact that thier coffee actually sucks. Think not? Instead of any coffee-blended drink just get a plain black coffee and try to choke it down - it's awful. There is no reason to patronize Starbucks when there are so many other places in Ames that have great coffee - for the same or lesser price, and some even have drive-thrus

I got to this Starbucks very often and I get the same coffee at the same time and place my order at the same time everytime I go. Although today there was a new person I hadn’t seen before in the window first she was very adamant about my order not being at her store when I told her I had placed it at her store she eventually found my order and then spoke to me in a rude tone and so ok then pull up the window no apology or any pleasantries. I then get to the window and she very rudely tells me that I couldn’t pick up my order that short after ordering it and stares at me and then closed the window in my face. I called and told whoever was on the phone that their employee was very rude and unprofessional although I know that won’t change anything. Very unprofessional but every single other experience I’ve had at this store has been great!

Called to order a coffee traveler and it was hard to hear her, lots of background noise but she said something along the lines of we aren’t doing those right now and I asked why and she cut out so I said I didn’t hear what she had said. She immediately hung up on me. What business just hangs up on a customer, mind you we were on the phone for 30 seconds by the time she decided to hang up on me…. Very unprofessional.

This is a very busy and popular Starbucks. I'm always impressed how quick the drive thru is even with a long line. My order is always right and coffee hot. I sometimes dine in and work. The inside is nice and comfy with plenty of plug-ins.

Drove thru & ordered trenta peach green tea light ice & two Splenda. It’s been my drink for years & I know exactly how it tastes. What I got today was not that beverage, it was disgusting and tasted like old black tea that’s been sitting at room temp all day. Zero peach flavor. Line was very long and I didn’t have time to wait. Not impressed & will not return.

If I could give this place, zero stars, I would. We ordered from our app on a Sunday and this location ended up not being open in the cafe, only drive through. We sat in that line for an hour. When people order stuff online there needs to be something that says drive through only. A peice of paper hanging on the door IS NOT enough.

Busy on a Monday morning but order came out fast and correct. Can appreciate when it’s that busy. Parking lot was busy with line through Drive thru. Had to wait a bit to park. But that’s what you endure for good coffee! Peace out!

Mobile ordered at 10am and said I’d pick up from drive thru at 10:15am. Got to the store at 10:20am. The line was too long so we decided to go in to pick up. Got our first drink after 3 minutes of waiting ( typical, not bad yet.) we let them know we had 2 drinks. Second drink was placed in drive thru and forgot about for nearly 9 minutes. No one came back to us to ask us what we were waiting for after we already told them we were waiting for our 2nd drink. I had to go to the register and wait for someone to assist me in getting my drink from the drive thru hand off. I know you’re short staffed but we gave you all the info you needed and you still couldn’t do it correctly. Ended up getting both drinks at 10:30am. Even if it says pick up in drive thru, you are not supposed to place drive thru mobile orders by the drive thru in case this exact situation occurs..(current employee).
