It's generally a pretty environment. You need to be careful what you order cause some food are not very good. I had a bad experience from dinner before which I wrote a review. This time I got berry mascarpone crepe for breakfast and it was ok but the combination of mascarpone and sour berry made it taste like spoiled milk!
It's ok in general.

Our server was excelente and the manager was courteous. Too bad the food is not so great. I had the quiche and it was not good, couldn't get past the first bite.
First off, the food was wonderful and the location was perfect. We have a freshman at ISU and are just getting to know the area restaurants. Bar la Tosca was high on our list as a place that didn't close at 8pm. We just happened to be there on a night where they were hosting two huge groups of people inside, where it was very loud. Thankfully it was warm enough (just) to eat outside. It took a good while to get our food (but drinks came quickly) due to the very (very!) large groups that had put their orders in before us, however our server was nonetheless very attentive and kept us updated about the progress of our order. Highly recommend and look forward to trying the indoors next time we're in the area.
Took a large group of 20+ people to La Tosca. The atmosphere was great, super open, lots of light, very cozy! The food was great. Called in several days ahead of time and they were able to meet our groups needs and requests. Servers were so sweet and helpful! Would go again!

Not enough staff, took over an hour to get crepes and a coffee. Waited 20 min for our check even though I asked right when we got our food. Good food though.
Solid spot with a stylish, cozy vibe. The place looks great, and it works both for daytime coffee and an evening drink.
Food and coffee were OK overall—nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable.
Service was good and friendly, though pacing could be tighter.
Prices feel fair for the area. Patio and indoor seating are comfortable, though it can get a bit loud at peak times.
I’d come back for a casual meet-up or pre-dinner drink; with slightly sharper service, it could easily be a 5-star experience

We love this place and make a point of eating here every time we visit Ames. The coffee is strong and the food is well crafted and delicious. We always sit on the patio with our pups.

Tosca is one of my favorite places to eat/have a cup of tea or coffee off campus. It is fancy, has tons of plants, friendly staff, fast service, and good music.

They tried to remake themselves into an Italian Bistro but failed in the execution in many ways. The dishes are super expensive for their quality. And they don't even give bread for the table. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken tasted like it was fresh out of a can, the noodles were few and undercooked, the mushrooms were chewey and some weren't even separated, and there was more water than sauce in the plate. My gf made the same dish a day later for a fraction of the price, and it was much better. Save yourself the trouble and go to Ge Angelo's instead. At least they give big portions and cook the dishes properly.

Got the fettuccine, noodles were not al dente, sauce was unflavorful and chicken was extremely dry. House made soda tastes like those Emergen-C Packets. Crepes were also sub par. Would not recommend to anyone.
