Extremely rude staff. I will never go here again. I can handle overpriced with a bit of ambiance and good service, but you won’t get that here.

Left my wallet there on a Friday. I called Saturday looking for it, and was told they did not have it. Spent my entire weekend looking for it, as it contained multiple credit cards, licenses, ID’s, etc. I called again Monday night, was again told they did not have it. Five minutes after I called, a friend called - they suddenly had it! Workers did not think to check the safe (for a wallet) until a male called. When I went I retrieve the wallet and voice my disappointment in their lack of communication, I was smirked and stared at by the employees…I certainly hope none of them ever lose a wallet! At this point, I had an appointment with the DMV booked for a new license and had froze all my credit cards. Extremely disappointed in their professionalism. Korean Steak & Egg is one of our favorites, the hanger steaks are some of the best I've ever had.
Breakfast is really good too! And the desserts are extremely dangerous. The flour less chocolate cake is my favorite. If you can't decide where to go, go here!

Excellent atmosphere. Went around one and had to wait to be seated. Very friendly staff with excellent hospitality and service. Menu is a bit different with lots of vegan and gluten free items. Known for their bread selections and unique menu options. Would definitely go again. Had the chicken, wild rice soup and loved it.

I stopped supporting The Cafe after encountering one of their pretentious staff, perhaps management. She had no problem talking down about me to her colleagues yet when I confronted her, all she could do was deny it. Perhaps I just caught her in the middle of a bad day, and I wish her the best of luck, but I will never give that business one more penny of my paycheck.
A modern farm-to-table spot with a relaxed vibe. I had the pork chop with apple chutney and roasted carrots — beautifully balanced flavors, nothing overdone. The coffee is excellent too, and the brunch crowd feels like a mix of locals and students. Comfortable, fresh, and quietly classy.

We were passing through Ames and came for breakfast. Friendly service, excellent coffee, my quiche was full of flavor and the salad it came with was delicious. My family all enjoyed their food too. Will come again when we're next in the area.
