I went in there for one main purpose. I wanted to purchase 2 gift cards. These were going to be given to someone as a gift at a business here in Ames.
When I got the cards, I went out to my vehicle to put them in the thank you cards I had written out and noticed that the first card was very dirty, there was black stuff all over it, the writing was almost completely gone off of the card and there was a piece of tape on it.
I looked at the second card. Same thing, the card was dirty, scratched up and looked like it had been in someone's wallet for a good while.
I was so confused because I went to the cashier and asked for 2 gift cards and I noticed when I looked at the receipt that it said gift card reload.
There was no way I was giving these 2 disgusting, used cards inside of a thank you note that I was giving to a business here in town.
I went back to the register and asked for 2 different gift cards and the girl proceeded to tell me that this is what they always do to save money on gift cards. I was flabbergasted. Not only do they have these cards sitting there right by where they prep food, they are handling these used cards and then touching utensils in the food prep area.
The girl said she was not going to do anything as I had already paid and the money was already loaded onto these 2 cards. I asked if I could speak to a manager and another young girl comes up and says I don't know what to tell you other than I can wipe those cards off for you because you already paid and the money was already loaded onto the used cards.
What?!?! Who in their right mind that is gifting a gift card would give a card that looks so gross and used as if you had just taken it from your wallet as a last thought to gift to them?
I said is there someone else I can talk to above you and she said no then turned and walked away. *So confused* at this point...
Another girl comes over and asked if there was anything she could do and I explained it all to her and she said I could call my boss if you would like I said yes please. She did that and her boss told her to just basically buy 2 new gift cards with the used gift cards.

This location has gone down hill in recent months. From the sour attitude of the employees, often seeming bothered simply by you being there, to the watery and lackluster consistency of the smoothies. This place used to be awesome. Not anymore.

What can I say? I'm addicted to their peanut paradise and chicken pesto flatbread. Most locations make it perfect and this is one of them. Very clean location too. I highly recommend!

peanut butter banana smoothie is what i usually go for, but i've had a lot of their drinks and all are phenomenal. I highly recommend tropical smoothie!

I used to love this place. But the inconsistencies are driving me insane. This is the second time I've paid extra for a side that they were reckless with. The first time, they didn't put any dressing or apples in the kale salad. I get it, mistakes happen. But this time!? I ordered the jalapeño corn and received a bowl that was all smashed up on the bottom, with little more than a tablespoon of corn in it. I'll add a picture if Google will let me. This is utterly ridiculous!!! I can't believe someone thought that was okay to give a customer.

I love how my smoothie was made this time! I typically get the Avocolada (so good!) but they’re not made very consistently (still good either way). I like them thicker and creamier, and this one was that!! So delicious. The employees all seemed to be down, but they were still doing their jobs well :)

I've gotten smoothies here many times.
just order online, they don’t charge the right prices in store and apparently don’t do substitutions, paid almost 3$ more in store than ordering
