It had a good cake, not dry. Baked well with good flavor. Buttercream was delicious.
Best donuts of all time! OG ames bakery with a lot of character. The breakfast isn’t amazing but anything from the bakery will knock you out!
My family and I come here every time we visit Ames and we always get the Dutch strips and they are SO GOOD!!! I could not recommend this place more — please go if you are passing through Ames!!!
Always fresh, always nice people, and good bakery options
I love the variety of Dutch desserts here! They have something for everyone. I got a Dutch letter and a cinnamon twist when I went in and they were both great. They also have better prices than other places you can get Dutch letters. Excited to try more treats from them in the future!
We are simply lucky to have a place like that Dutch Oven. I hope they are there for many more generations 🥰
Everything that comes from this place is delicious and perfect. They don’t miss. Try literally anything, you’ll love it.
Fantastic little bakery. Highly recommend
Yummy lunch
The absolutely Best bakery in the region. Doughnuts, fritters, Bismark, Danish, Dutch letters, cakes and many varieties of bread. Fresh coffee and soft drinks available for eat-in or carryout. They'll take large orders for companies, birthdays and home events.

In my experience the service was terrible, I saw this place on the Internet and I was excited to try it, now I know I won't return. ?

Nice bakery. The staff is very enthusiastic! The interior is kind of outdated but there's plenty of seating. Unfortunately, we came at the end of the day so options were limited. The doughnut I chose was very light and airy. Great texture, but way too sweet for me. I would like to come back one early morning to see if there are more items that would suit my palate. I'm not really into shortbread or almond so I skipped the cookies and dutch letters.

Stopped by to pick up some bread. The bread was greasy and soft. Also ended up bringing a few donuts home as well! Very good.
Parking: Parking around the side and back.
