FYI for non-locals: This is actually located inside the grocery store - you enter their front door and walk to the right in order to place an order at the counter and then get seated in the “restaurant”. Unconventional but food was tasty!

Crazy long wait. 2 sandwiches and 2 tots to go was about a 25 minute wait with a whole 8 other people already seated in the rest eating, no one else waiting. Mine was definitely sitting there for a while because the bottom bun was completely soaked through and fell apart when I picked it up. Food was tasty, but the wait and the price makes it not worth it.

I drove the family into Ames because HyVee advertised that kids eat free at the Marketplace Grille.The employees informed me that well actually, no, kidS do not eat free. One kid eats free.They don't eat free at the Marketplace Grille either, just Wahlburgers, and just from the four bland-looking items on the kids menu.We left and had pizza somewhere else, because that's just false advertising.Not going back to Wahlburgers.

The girl that rang us up had no idea how to do it and wouldn't let us use a valid coupon. She also was not very helpful when ringing us up and had to ask us the same questions over and over.

$14 for a smallish burger & cold onion rings served on a plastic tray. Not worth it. You have to order at a counter like McDonald's and you need to get up to find your own napkins & silverware.I'll pay $14 for a burger, but it needs to be a much better experience than this.

We went to the Whalburgers at Hyvee and the crew pf 3 was standing up by the drink machines talking and carrying on. We walked around the whole restaurant and not 1 clean booth. Not acknowledgement at all by any of the employees.
