Great neighborhood bar and grille with patio seating, and lots of screens if you want to watch a game. Easy recommendation if you're in Ames.
A nice sports bar with a rooftop lounge. The menu was packed with choices. If we're in the area again we'll be stopping by
Since 2014 I have came to this establishment before they moved to the location there at now. What got me hooked was deep fried mushrooms. I have returned over and over and over to this establishment ordering the same thing cyclone wings. Today the wings that I ordered was not the usual cyclone wings It appeared that whoever cooked my meal did not put any seasoning or any type of breading or flour or anything on on my wings. I used to cook I still do cook. These wings were just taking plane and dropped in a deep fryer of oil that's it. These are not the cyclone wings I've been ordering for the last 7 years. Once I open the package I looked at them they were dry and lifeless. I'm not going to give up on this establishment since this was the first time my meal was destroyed out of the years I've been going to this place. I don't know if you have a new cook but this has to be better I spent $17 on the meal not counting the $5 tip. Please do better.
Great food.
The food is okay. The service is okay. The atmosphere is okay. Everything is okay.
Kid-friendliness: Great service from the waiter, high chair and quick drinks for the kids
Food was excellent as usual.

waitress acted like it was a chore to wait on us. the coleslaw looked and tasted bad. when I told the waitress she said, I thought it looked weird. still charged a $1. for it. not offered refills on pop. just not a very good experience.
The food was great. The service was very attentive. The prices were high for just ordering burgers.
Parking: There is plenty of free parking behind the building.

Wallaby’s was one of my favorite places when I went to ISU. We’ve been back since both at the old location and new. The food is always great but the service is very lacking. Within the last year we’ve visited twice and both times the food took forever and the service was slow. Both times we had to get up and find someone to give us a box and the check. Sorry to see this Ames institution fall so far from the mark. Sad, but we are not going back.

Food okay, but they don’t provide plastic silverware for to go orders and forgot our ranch sauce.
Rooftop was nice but my hickory bacon burger was flavorless, didn't seem like the patty was seasoned in the slightest. A tiny cup of cheese curds with ranch added 5 dollars to an already over priced sandwich (charging for ranch is hilarious). Never asked if we'd like refills on drinks or anything. Won't be back, 70 dollars+ for bar food is crazy, especially when it's painfully mediocre

Wallaby's is your average sports bar. The drinks were good and the food was pretty average. I had the Hickory Bacon burger. The flavor was balanced for the most part. Sometimes, the caramelized onions would overpower it, but it wasn't a terrible thing. I must have gotten the bottom of the frys because I got a whole bunch of smaller cold ones. The service was a bit slow, but I think it was because they were training a new server. Overall, it's pretty average, but it was expensive for just average food. The total for two people was 70 bucks with a tip, which is expensive for what we had. We had a drink each and one entree each.
