No part of the visit below exceptional. Truly exceptional food including variety of menu items, drinks, quality, atmosphere and service. Prices were great, too. Terrific place, will be back.

Love the food here, but the service was one of the worst I’ve experienced in years. Went in with another couple and our kids. Waited for 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. Ordered drinks and appetizer’s. Waited another 20 minutes for our drinks, one of which was a water, that didn’t come until after their appetizers showed up. Food took another hour, and came out a couple things at a time. 4 of 9 items were wrong. Love the food, but awful, awful service. Won’t be back. Which is unfortunate as it was our friends birthday.

Nice atmosphere. The inside was well lit not dark like most typical bars or some restaurants. The beef comes from local farms. The bathrooms where clean and the staff seemed friendly
I love breaded pork tenderloins and here is one of the reasons why! Boondocks, 130 East Main St, Anamosa, Iowa! Perfect bun - tenderloin ratio, great crunch and seasoning to the breading. Great little restaurant and pub. Stop in and meet the staff!

Great food and service, website needs descriptions under their items as it can be confusing when ordering though, edit: do not recommend ordering online actually as theyve had quite a few issues with it.

Food was great. The service was good, when we actually got service. Drinks took WAAAYYYYY too long to get. Parents ordered 2nd drinks, my food arrived about 10 min after ordering 2nd drinks. About 10 min after this, my parents food arrived. My daughters kids cheeseburger with chips arrived 10 min after my parents food, so 20 min after my food! Then came the 2nd drinks half way through our meal. We watched the bartender worry about changing the channel, and talking to other customers casually, and spilling a drink and breaking a separate glass and back to changing the channel before even starting to make the drinks. Our entire meal took 1h n 16 min. Probably will not be back because of this. Shame as the food was pretty good! The fish and chips basket is frozen fish triangle pieces, not home made fyi.
