I decided to give this Mexican restaurant a try and I'm glad I did. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. The chips and salsa are good I've had better but I'd give it four out of five stars for the salsa. The queso dip is authentic and amazing. I ordered a steak fajita quesadilla with vegetables. The amount of vegetables and steak in the steak fajita quesadilla was phenomenal. I also ordered a strawberry margarita Blended and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

Amazing, tipsy halfway through a big margarita so if you're cheap or poor that's your best bet for getting a happy ending out of your date night, you feel me

I had the lunch fajitas Diablo
It was a great amount of food for the price and it was perfectly spicy for me.
The service was timely and friendly.
I enjoyed a modelo negra in a bottle and they served it with a lime
The chips and salsa were also good and I enjoyed the crunch of the chips with a mild salsa
Give these guys a try!

I’m not sure why another Mexican restaurant had to go into the same spot where 2 to 3 have already been there and failed. Maybe try something like the Blind Pig or Tommy’s in CR. My first trip there was disappointing and will be my only trip. The service was okay yet friendly. The salsa is bland and the chips are similar to what you buy at the store. I ordered jalapeño poppers and they are just like the frozen ones at the grocery store. I realize most Americans like their Mexican food “Americanized”, but come on…that doesn’t mean you have to make it boring. Restaurants like El Sol need to make some items actually have a mexican style. There were no hot sauces on the tables…ugh. The Pollo Jalisco was average. Anamosa should work a little harder at getting good food places.

I just had lunch here and it was incredibly delicious! The salsa is awesome. The "Taco Salad Fajitas" was really tasty and the service was super friendly. I am looking forward to coming back!
We got a chicken chimichanga and fajitas. Both dishes were delicious and we are excited to add El Sol to our local restaurant rotation.
The chicken fajitas were great and the service was excellent. Can't wait to try all the other stuff on the menu!
Had plans to eat in, but ended up ordering for carry out.
Our order was accurate, and I was informed that carry out orders can be picked up at the old drive-thru window. This is a nice convenience.
The food survived the trip home and was still incredibly fresh.
Everything had great flavor.
The chips might have been a bit old, but still had a nice crunch. Salsa is good, on the mild side.
Staff was very friendly.
We will have to return and see if it’s better when served hot, instead of brought home.
We will return. I would recommend.
One draw back is that the parking lot has no lighting, or very poor lighting. The place looks closed from the road, and when snowy/ icy, it’s hard to make out hazardous walking conditions.
