Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and great service!
Everytime we eat here it’s a fantastic experience! The staff has always been good to us and tonight was extra incredible! We met the owner Dirk and had an unexplainable experience with him and the family history of the building! The steak I had was cooked perfectly! My baked potato was so good I could eat it by itself and the corn on the cob was amazing too, good ole Iowa sweet corn! My girlfriend had the wings and they said how they did them and they did not disappoint! So good and the buffalo sauce was homemade too! After dinner we went to the recently opened upstairs lounge and Jentry took such good care of us there until they closed! From A-Z this place is outstanding and a must go to! I understand staffing may be hard at times for a restaurant but they knocked it out of the park so those other one star reviews have to be from those experiences. Things happen, but for us this place has been consistent! You must try this Anamosa staple! Great owner, great staff, even better food, drinks and service!

Great food got the whole cat fish, and that was spectacular. The veggie that came with the fish was core on the cobb, which initially made me disappointed, but then i got into it, and all my disappointment was gone. Some of the better corn on the cobb I've had. Beware big groups, though they don't split bills for groups more than 6.

Just nice relaxing environment and food prepared like you had a personal chef at your table.
This time, we had tilapia and a cod basket with wedges. The food is always great and the service is friendly. There are several local beers on tap and a full bar. Just a really enjoyable meal as usual.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are sidewalk and entrance ramps.

Exactly what a restaurant should be. Dirk is the best, and his food is even better!

Owner was gracious for our first visit and took time to explain the food. The Tuscan soup is perfect. Great mixture of ingredients and wonderful taste. Cuban sandwich was memorable. Thank you for sharing your passion.

A great middle (travel spot) to meet old friends for lunch. The restaurant went out of their way to meet our neads. We are headed back soon.

Incredible. I got a sirloin with mashed potatoes and a couple of beers and cheesecake for dessert. It was a little pricey but well worth it. My family and I will be back.
