After waiting 30 minutes for our pizza, we were told the oven isn’t working. Mozzarella sticks were almost room temperature at best and the salad looked terrible. Never coming back.

Very friendly. Good food and drinks. We came for a late lunch and both had pasta and a wing appetizer. We probably over stayed out welcome and chatted for almost 2 hours. Came to supper and we ordered bread that was so good we got another to go at no charge surprisingly. Even got a gift card for my mom for christmas

Havent eaten here yet , but looked at the menu and all of the other reviews and it looks amazing ! I worked with the people who owned this restaurant before which was an entire different restaurant and it looks absolutely different! Definitely going to have to come in and try the food ! Maybe even apply if you guys are looking for a seasoned cook? The entire dining room looks absolutely uplifting and very BRIGHT !

Tried this place out today for the first time today. Our waitress was awesome. They mixed our orders up a smidge, but got it taken care of and were very helpful.
They have a smaller menu, but a decent variety of items. I had the Scarpariello Sandwich and a side salad. The sandwich was delicious and the salad was good. They have a really good balsamic dressing (IMO). My wife did the buffalo chicken wrap, but in the form a salad (as she didn't want the wrap and they were nice enough to accommodate her request). She really enjoyed hers as well.
With their menu, they offer vegetarian options, gluten free options and nut free options as well.

Such a great experience at Bonfire and Bar Restaurant in Ankeny! The food was so good — everything we ordered was delicious. I had a penne vodka which was so refreshing, and later an espresso martini that was perfect — smooth, strong, and full of flavor. . The people I went with ordered different dishes like salmon, ravioli, and a meat plate, and everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was really nice too. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

Food was amazing! Got the chicken parm and I was super impressed with everything. Our server Natasha was A+! Not sure what’s in the bread but it’s dangerously addictive along with the oil. Murals on the walls and atmosphere had me thinking it would be perfect for a date night out. Highly recommend.
