Cabaret Sports Bar & Grille

One of my favorite bars in Ankeny! We went there last week and got the cheese curds and buffalo wings...and shocking, they might have been the best wings I have ever had! There was live music which was also awesome. Quick service, kind staff. My husband & I had the best date night there (sat at the bar).

Our party ordered a tenderlion sandwich, salad, and pizza. Tenderloin was okay - about the same quality as a gas station option with better bread and toppings options. Salad was a salad, but the garlic parmesan dressing tastes more strongly of garlic than popping a raw clove in your mouth. And the pizza. Imagine the cheapest college dining hall you've ever been to, and this is still somehow worse. It made me crave a Jack's or Tombstone - something you could get for under $5 in the frozen section at a grocery store. Crust, sauce, cheese, toppings, all underdone and bland. I would eat a lunchable pizza before ordering theirs again. We came at very slow time, shortly before the kitchen closed for lunch, and still waited 10 minutes for the server to check on us. Nice looking establishment with quaint outdoor area though, which is about all it has going for it.

We went last night to try to get a late dinner. With 4-6 employees all at bar, no one greeted us, came to our table, or checked in. My husband and I ended up switching tables due to glare from lights. We waited another several minutes with no acknowledgement. We had employees walk by us. After waiting several minutes with no acknowledgement or service, we walked out. It was not busy. The employees saw us and chose not to come to our table. To say we are disappointed would be an understatement. We had previously had ok service at other visits but wait staff has seemed to decline rapidly. If you are looking to eat or drink, I'd recommend avoiding this place.

Great staff, cold drinks, and tasty food. Cabaret has is all. Events every day all week long. Perfect place to start with dinner then end with s good time.

We finally had to ask to be waited on. Once we got our food, server never returned, so we had to go up to bar and ask for our check. Wish there were a couple more low tables for those with mobility issues.

Went for live music and the Iowa game. It was absolutely amazing. Fret noise rocked out at half time and after the game. We ordered the cyclone pizza and it was phenomenal. The only complaint is there was not enough room for everyone but they did their best to accommodate us

Ignored by staff.Waited well over an hour to get warm tenderloins and cold fries.Obnoxiously loud DJ.They prioritize Door Dash over customers in the restaurant.0 out of 10 would not recommend.

Me and some friends decided to try out a new place tonight. Started off with a few drinks and our server Maya was super nice! She was accommodating and gave us good drink/food recommendations. We also tried our hand at karaoke and I apologize in advance to anyone that heard us haha. Overall we had a great time! Fun atmosphere, patient staff, and amazing cocktails :)
