Best chinese ive had... and im the worst review leaver. I only review to 1 star to hurt companies. However this, this something. Ya, i dont get what that 1 star i saw up above but i disagree with my personal experience. And im heading there right now i just got curious on the reviews. See ya there!

Save yourself. Entree selection is very limited. Everything was in the danger zone for temperature. Nothing was hot. We left hungry as we didn't want to get sick. There is definitely a reason you pay before you are seated.

Christmas night, place was crowded. Staff cleared tables as fast as possible. Food options were plentiful. Quality just wasn't there. No spice or flavor on Chinese options. Best thing found was strawberry cake.

Stopped coming here years ago because of the quality of food and price. Last night we decided to give it one last try as it’s the closest Chinese Buffett and the kids wanted Chinese Buffett. Price is extremely high. The atmosphere needs a little updating and maybe some extra cleaning around the booth areas but otherwise not terrible. The service was A-1 though which was awesome. They were happy, smiling and attentive. I was shocked at how good the food quality was. Everything was fresh and hot but not overheated by the warmers. The sushi was a bit plain but still great selection. I was impressed with the type of food also served. Very nicely cooked salmon, and steak tips. The only improvement I would say is to make the sushi more flavorful and also the chicken and broccoli needed more flare and seasoning. Overall I’m highly impressed and on our next family night we might check this place out again!

The price was expressive for just one person and there wasn’t any good option of food and most of the food looks dry. And on top of that the worker was cutting long green beans at back table where customers are eating.
Pricy. Make you pay before being sat. Food sucked, seems like it sat longer in the warmers the it should have. Have to get your own drinks which is fine, they tend to keep the plates on tables longer than needed. It was very dead when we went.

Food is gross mushrooms were sitting so long they are 1/8 th the size and shriveled. they put new out and left the old ones . Crab legs are offered but not in the buffet . This is at 6 pm when I walked in . Sushi amounted to about 20 pieces total also been sitting not any good types to choose from which is good bc if it was raw fish we would all be sick I’m sure. Price is good though I can’t imagine Ankeny will let this place stay In Business . Look at my picture of the new mushrooms and once’s they decided to not throw away
