The food is delicious, BLT on an everything bagel is my favorite! Their bagels are actually fresh, soft and flavourful - no matter what time of day you go. Lots of coffee options. The only down side for me is that their kitchen is not well ventilated. I love the food but I don't want to smell like it, even if I just go in to pick up. Love supporting a local business specially with friendly staff, always greeting with a smile. I definitely recommend this place!

I’ve gone back to this bagel shop a few more times since my last review and I really must say that it is a delightful place to get bagels. The food and drinks are delicious and in person, the staff is great! I recant my previous review. Thank you for making my last few experiences much better than my first!

I've been going here since it opened (originally CJs). I dont live in ankeny anymore so its a special trip to get my fix. The bagels are always good. Bagel bites are always delish. But the meals always seem to be lacking something. Pictured is the blt (without the t) for my lunch today. I drove almost 40 mins round trip for this. This isnt the first time, might be the last though.

I’ve tried this place twice and both times I got my bagels I got them wrong. This time specifically I asked for cream cheese on both of my bagels and both did not have any cream cheese. I’ll add a picture of my bagels with the receipt and not cream cheese on either

They really need a menu other than a makeshift piece of paper. Could be a very easy fix. However the egg scramble I got was very tasty.

TJ’s is located inside Java House coffee. GREAT bagels! I’ve had bagel bites someone brought to work before (to die for), but this was my first visit in store. Service was okay, but food was slow to come out. I waited 10+ min for a bagel sandwich and iced latte. Several others were noticeably waiting ahead of me also.
I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage on the French toast bagel, and the seasonal cherry chai iced latte. Both fantastic! I wish there were more places around to buy such quality bagels.
The croissants were burnt and the lady forgot to bring out my bagel and my hot chocolates and she would look at me in a bad way when i asked her about it never coming again

The bagels are great. There's a good variety of flavors including sandwich options. Bagel bites are yummy, too. Good value for the price.
The coffee is always room temperature, whether I order a latte or a black coffee. Skip the coffee, get the bagel.

Definitely have one of the best breakfast bagels in town! They also have really delicious bagel bites, great for birthday breakfast treats! I like to order ahead before going sometimes it can be a wait.

My favorite bagel bite is cinnamon roll. It tastes fresh and better than a gourmet cinnamon roll! The staff are welcoming, cheerful and eager to please. Julian and Emma stand out-thank you so much! The Italian and classic club bagel sandwiches are excellent! I wasn't a coffee drinker until I tried the freshly roasted Mexican blend - very smooth. A favorite treat is a latte with hazelnut and salted caramel 😋
