Actually have humans to take your order and money! The clerk was friendly! Kudos. The restaurant was actually warm inside... nice temp.
And the Burgers were tasty and the blizzard too. Job well done.

This location is always on pointttt. Food is always fresh and you can’t go wrong with a ice cream treat

DoorDasher: The cook shouted out my order as he put it in the thing and I let 'em know I was here. It still took 7 minutes for him to put the thing in the bag and hand it to me.

The employees are just awful tbh rude and nasty if they don't have something instead of just saying oh we are out or even making an excuse they talk down to you if you go make sure you go early cause if you go an hour before close they will treat you like the scum of the earth. There's a reason most reviews are below 3 lately.

Food is great but the customer service is terrible. My boyfriend and I were picking up a DoorDash order yesterday and we had to wait for about 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged by the staff. It took another 20 minutes to get the DoorDash orders. Same thing happened today as well. This time we didn’t wait. There were at least 4 other people in the lobby who had yet to be acknowledged. Don’t recommend this place.

Pull up to DQ like a true sigma warrior, instantly greeted by the GOAT staff—literal peak customer service, zero NPC energy. Blizzards? Straight bussin’, no cap. Fries? Crispy W Rizz. Vibes? Off the charts. Only L was the water—it tasted like it respawned in a Minecraft swamp. Still, 100% would return for another side quest at this peak Dairy Queen franchise. Stay icy, kings and queens. 🐐🍦

Missing toppings in the blizzard, had to wait at the counter a long time and more wait to get our order. Floor is sticky and tables were dirty

The drive-through line was very long. The workers that were working the drive-through window, spent time more time talking to their friends through the pick up window than actually working and trying to keep the line moving. When I finally got to the window, my ice cream was already melting. I was handed my cone with no napkins AND the young lady dropped my change as she was handing it to me through the window and said. “Oops, sorry about that” and close the window. The store does not have a good concept of good customer service.

The food was delicious. The service was great. I loved the Christian stickers and music. However, it was somewhat expensive for a fast food restaurant.

06/17/2025, I always look forward to DQ, but unfortunately tonight we ordered 2 Peanut Buster Parfait, the first spoonful of what looked delicious was actually full of Salt and we both could not enjoy our Ice cream and we had to throw it away!

This DQ is 3.2 star restaurant not sure why they cannot meet the standards of Ankeny Hospitality!

Went inside to order. Person took my order didn't really seem to know what they were doing. Stood back to wait for order, watched guy put ice cream into the cups, then preceded to be lost at what he was doing. Seemed to take a long time to make 4 blizzards. Got them done walked right by me. Mind you at this point the ice cream was very melted and running down the side of the cup. The guy finally realized it was my order then had to wait for another guy to put them into a carrier. The guy putting them into the carrier tried the upside trick but got stuff on their counter and said oh nevermind. Thankfully I had wipes and paper towels in my car to wipe everything off with. Multiple towels 5 min later finally got my family their ice cream. I should of gotten my money back and walked out. Would not recommend at all. First and last time ever going there and won't be back..... sorry.
Another thing, thankfully I know when to recognize something with peanuts mixed in my ice cream.... bit into a big chunk of peanut butter cup. Please be careful when taking bites.

I won't be giving the Ankeny store another chance but will stick with my usual spots in Altoona or Newton! Even if it means going out of my way by miles.

Spent over 15 minutes in drive thru waiting for our food after waiting over 20 minutes for the people in front of us to get their food.
