I usually love this location but the workers tonight were some of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Tables were all dirty, and one of the employee’s kids were screaming at a table in the corner and she had to scold them while making burgers.
I don’t plan on returning especially after paying almost $40 for two people.

Saw some videos promoting Five Guys & was super excited to try it. Immediately off the bat we walked in and were talked to pretty harsh. They all seemed and made it known they were angry. We walked away and someone said “They must be having a bad night.” No biggie. We weren’t given a receipt or a number. They yelled our order. It was only us and one other table. Both of us looked at each other not knowing our number. As we weren’t given a receipt or a number. They screamed so aggressively again. Everyone was uncomfortable. Onto the food. The bun on the burger was so dry it was falling apart. Flaking. Extremely, extremely dry. In our bag was the side of fries we ordered but not in a side container. Just poured all over our food. It was honestly such a horrible uncomfortable experience. I am extremely regretful on giving this business my $47. If you need a good burger place. I recommend going anywhere else.

The service was good, staff was friendly, speed was par for the time of day- probably took about 5-7 minutes to get my order. The burger is good, but it's not on the same level as, say, Zombie Burger, Honest Abe's, or Burger Shed. It's about as good as B-Bops at a little higher quality, which begs the question- is it worth $20 for a combo that you can get next door for $11, or a sit-down place for the same price? The portions are generous; I was quite full after eating, but I'm still not able to justify the cost, especially knowing they don't pay staff any more than at the other fast food places.

Went in to try it out. Waited at cash register for 5 minutes. People were cooking. 2 cleaning tables, no acknowledgment or we’ll be with you in a moment. Ended up just leaving. Saved me $35. We’ll try another burger place.

Good hamburger, clean place.. but they had 4 cooks and 4 customers in the place yet it still took them over 20 minutes to get me one hamburger. These guys have gone down hill, something felt off after I ate the hamburger also. Not going back.

Very friendly folks in here. Food served was fresh and hot! While waiting, i had the opportunity to fill my drink with the coke machine and get exactly what I wanted. While waiting for my fresh hot food, I needed to use the restroom and can I just say, (I can and will), this was the absolute CLEANEST restroom I have ever been in for a restaurant. It even smelled clean! After what I can only imagine was a killer busy Monday lunch crowd. I mean I was there at 4:15pm but the store itself was clean and neat and did I mention, the cleanest bathroom I’ve ever been in? LOL. If you notice in my photo attached, you will see store staff cleaning at the main entrance! For the staff to take that kind of pride in where they work is refreshing! Thank You Five Guys!

Stopped in at the Ankeny Five Guys today and had another great experience! The place was busy, but the team had everything under control and kept things moving smoothly. Service was top-notch and the food was delicious, as always.
I especially want to give a shoutout to Jarvis who greeted us & took our order. He was absolutely pleasant, professional, and such a joy to interact with—it honestly made our whole afternoon. Five Guys is always good, but it’s people like Jarvis who make it a place you want to keep coming back to. Antonio was also helpful and friendly. Great team!!!
