First visit, food took a bit to arrive due to a large catering order but not more than 15 minutes. Good portions size and tasted very good. Only complaint, every mexican restaurant is very been in in the last 30 yrs, you always get chips and salsa free when dining in. Here they wanted $6, not a deal breaker but disappointing consider how long food took.

If could give 0 I would. Just order doordash from Flame in Ankeny. I kid you not there was a huge bug in my taco. This is not okay.

Order a burger which I doubt was 7 oz like advertised, it was good but basic. More like a McDonalds small patty.

loved loved loved it ! I’m from Kansas and was looking for places to eat while visiting Iowa and I saw this place and I’m so glad I did ! The birria tacos were so flavorful and tender and the corn was to die for the waitress was super great and overall 10/10 experience!

First off, the service and waitresses are very kind. The hostess is very kind, and sat me immediately.
But that’s all I have good to say. Truly don’t know how this is so highly rated. This was my first time here on February 24th, 2025, in the evening. I ordered the asada fajitas. They were SO SALTY.
I’m not even close to low tolerant of sodium, but the steak and veggies were just so incredibly salty, that I forced it all down, so the food and money wasn’t wasted. The steak was quite bland, so I think they rely on over salting. They definitely need to work on the food.
I figured I’d give it a try, but once is enough. I will certainly stick to Cazador, as it is fantastic every time, for the same pricing. Thank you to the kindness of the servers and hostess. As they were the only ones keeping this review at 2/5
