So delicious!!! everything is on this thing mushrooms, asparagus, broccoli. It seems like it should almost be too much, but it’s perfect! Seasoned amazing too! And they have vegan baklava! Updated from previous review on 2026-03-11

It's my second time coming here with my fiance and I got the steak for dinner. The steak was decent but the mushrooms were mostly dehydrated, which I was not expecting. I was expecting slightly bigger portion sizes but food was well seasoned. The waiter also didn't interact with us much and he wasn't really around even before the place got busy. Before we left, our receipt was put on the table and the waiter walked off without saying anything. There's room for improvement regarding service. The atmosphere was nice but it did get somewhat loud so I had to speak up a bit to be heard.

One of my favorite spots for dinner. My partner and I went here last night for Valentine’s Day and we had a great time, the food was delicious and the were so kind to help accommodate to our allergies!

This is one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, if not the worst. We came for lunch 2/12/26, a Thursday. It is a reasonable expectation to be out in an hour on a workday at lunch. Seventy-five minutes later, we had to ask for our food (which still hadn’t arrived) to go to eat in the car on the way back to work because they had made us so late.

They had one indifferent server attending to and hosting for the entire, packed restaurant. Poor staffing decision. It took them five minutes to seat us (with open tables) and 30 minutes to even get us water. Unreal! It was 45 minutes after we ordered before we saw our food, which was an hour and 15 minutes after we’d arrived.

The server made no apologies, did not give us a heads up on the wait or any delays, or communicate at all—indeed, we saw him like three times and he had nothing to say even when we said we needed the food to go because we were late. No mitigation efforts, no comps, nothing. Just cold, overpriced slop thrown in a to-go box (pictured). Also, enjoy the screaming kids at lunchtime…but who can blame them? They’re probably starving!

Spoiler alert: the food is NOT worth a 75-minute wait at a midweek workday lunch or the abysmal service. The worst part is, both the server and the management on here when they respond to reviews show no contrition or desire to do better. The response is always, “Tough cookies…the food is made from scratch.” Seriously don’t know how they stay in business.

Tonight was my first time eating dinner! The owner found out three of us ladies were new to the restaurant. She brought out a board of all the yummy cheeses, breads and veggies! So kind and nice! I’ll definitely be back! The food and service were amazing!!!

Like many others have mentioned, food is good but the service leaves much to be desired. Waiter seems disinterested and distracted. Was also a bit hard to hear what he was saying the few times he did speak. Wait was also very long.

The food was excellent but the customer service and waiter were exceptionally bad. The waiter seemed indifferent to our presence, almost as if he was annoyed we were there. Everything was extremely slow and you get nickel and dimed on everything. Again, excellent food, terrible experience.

I had the most incredible experience here. I love Mediterranean, but what I love most Is authenticity of my experience. The food is absolutely Phenomenal! I was unsure what to get, being indecisive. I asked about just around everything on the menu. The owner came out and told me about everything she offered, and I settled on the Mediterranean feast. It was beyond delicious. They helped me choose a bottle of wine, and the chocolate cake was to die for. Unlike any chocolate cake you’ve ever experienced, it was dense and delicious.

Excellent, especially for Des Moines Metro. Easily the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in the DSM Metro by far. Seems like it is a family run joint that’s been here for about 10 years.

Always great when you can see the cooking happing in front of you. Service is excellent as well!

Extremely awkward...our server had a headset on and looked away while speaking to us. It was difficult to tell if we was speaking to us or to someone on his phone. The service was very slow but the food was good.

All I'm going to say is that I need to come here more often. Food and service is always excellent. They do some amazing work, given the fact they work with minimal kitchen equipment.

Just goes to show that good food comes from the heart and not some 30 thousand dollar fancy combi oven.
