This was a very nice place to eat some excellent wood fired pizza. Loved the service, loved the pizza, and i loved the wine. Dinner is a little pricy, but they have a decently priced lunch special.

First time my husband and I went to have dinner there and had absolutely horrible service the server kept rushing us to leave and we just literally got our pizzas served to us. She was so incredibly rude she even grabbed my plate as I was trying to finish my food. She then messed up our drink order and her customer service skills were just not there. Speaking from someone who has worked in the public 25+ yrs. Even when I was her age i had better manners than that !! I know age has a factor, but first impressions especially in a food industry is huge.
Thank you we do not plan to return.

A bit pricey (toppings are anywhere from $2-$4 per topping) if doing a build your own but either way you're looking at 20+ for a 12inch pizza even looking at their specialty pizzas or even a calzone. That said, the pizza was amazing and the customer service was great as well. The atmosphere was good as well.

I love this place. I’m surprised at some of the reviews. It’s great new York style pizza. Too many people complain about the price, if you’re broke just say sooo, this is not dominos, this is brick stone oven pizza. I love a slice that’s big enough to fold :) I have never had bad service here, everyone is attentive. Sometimes it gets busy so just be mindful. This is some people’s first job ever, get a grip. Go out of state anywhere you will understand how nice these servers are. Some people need to move out of their hometown for a while and realize what grimaldis has brought to Ankeny
