If I could give zero stars I would. I went up to pick up an order and the staff was extremely rude. Didn’t greet me or say hi , no smile no nothing. I was so taken back by the horrible disgusting energy. Don’t know if he’s the owner, but this man yelled “pay attention“ I ended up walking out because this place does not deserve my money!

Great food, fair price and healthy portions. People are used to super large portions they can take home, but Jade Garden price their meals according to the portion, which seems more reasonable to me. Love the tea they serve with the meals!

I was at Jade Garden yesterday September 8th 2024. The food wss delicious as always. I'm making this review because the young waiter was exceptional. Customer service was top notch and professional. I order another order to take home to my hubby and it hot and ready to go when I was done with my lunch. No complaints.

Ordered take-out on a Wednesday evening. Got Chicken Curry, Sesame Chicken, Sesame Beef, Crab Rangoons, Egg Rolls, Beef Satay, & Hot & Sour Soup. This is the blandest food I’ve ever had. Not sure who was cooking tonight, but it was absolutely terrible. The Sesame entrees were not sweet at all, the curry was so bland… neither sweet nor spicy. The beef satay was stringy. The egg rolls were burnt and were so overstuffed that they exploded. Jade used to be THE Chinese Restaurant to go to in Ankeny. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back.

The food is awful. Went with my girlfriend and it was obvious they cutting corners on everything, and it's expensive. Who uses canned mushrooms in a stir fry? I should of just ate at the Hy-Vee down the road I would of had and extra $35 dollars in my pocket and had better food. They reuse the same sauce on multiple dishes. I ordered the orange chicken and it was not sweet at all it was a savory sauce with cut up orange peals which made it taste bitter. They are selling literal slop. The waitress was nice I feel bad for her, so she did get a tip.

Grose is the simplest way to say how the food taste. I would rather eat Chinese food from a gas station. I had the orange beef and it was mushy with no flavor. Also, hardly anyone was there and we still had to search for our server for service. Dont waste your money.

Pretty disappointed. I walked in and the place is still very beautiful and clean. Our server was very nice. However, our menus and the entire place reaked very strongly of pinesol/cleaner. The crab rangoons tasted really good, but that was the only thing we ordered that tasted good. We ordered general tso's chicken and it was completely bland. My hot and sour soup tasted off like but I figured it was the clean smell of the area interfering with taste. After a few bites, my stomach got upset and I spent my lunch date in the bathroom. We told the owner about what was wrong with our food and he said he was willing to fix it, "but that's how it is". It almost seemed like he wasn't listening fully to understand but listening to respond. We just decided to leave, but we still had to pay for everything. I'm really disappointed because I used to love this place years ago and now it seems like this place is no longer making food with passion and love.

Owner treat me bad with disrespect, took my client's bag that we paid for , he touched me without permission and pushed me out of his property which is public place for asking to get my client's bag. Golden rule not applied here. Owner had bad day but no excuse to transfer his bad energy on others like me. No humility there. don't go there please.

The first time I dined here. Jade Garden was highly recommended by my Pastor who treated me for lunch on Suday. The egg rolls were the absolute best I've ever eaten anywhere! I ordered the Steak, Chicken, and Seafood special. Large portion and excellent taste! I will be back!

I learned that you should always read Google reviews before ordering on door dash. The sesame chicken was greying and flavorless, the Rangoon tasted sour and were essentially empty, the rice was stale and the soup didn't even look edible. If you want good Chinese food, go to China Moon, it's leagues better
