I went to Jake’s bar and immediately felt welcomed because I am also Jake. A place for Jake’s, who could ask for anything better? I brought in 25 extra large stuffed crust pizzas and a camel knuckle soup. I went to order my first drink and APPARENTLY the first amendment means nothing because I was kicked out after saying “Goodfellas” was better than “Godfather part II”. I crawled on the ground looking for my moose cankle rye bread for several minutes. Will never come again, unless I can bring my 4 ball skinned turtle puree.

Great Ankeny bar with fantastic music all night long. Have been here a couple of times with friends, and it is always easy to get drinks at the bar. This is our new favorite spot since we relocated from the south up north.

Great little neighborhood bar! Friendly staff, clean, lots of choices for drinks. Dart machines, golf game, lots of seating. It has a locals feel, but we felt welcomed right away. Will stop again!

I'm not sure what was going on, but whoever was behind the bar Thursday 1/11 was beyond rude and walked away from a sale before even asking me if I wanted a drink. I will not go there again. One star- do not recommend.
