I order food through the app. I get to the window and they say it’s going to take 45mins for your Mac N cheese why is the Mac N Cheese going to take so long?? Shouldn’t you guys already have some backs ups made?? Then I tried to cancel the order but it wouldn’t let me. I tried getting the attention of someone at the window for an extra 10mins. This location is horrible I’ll stick to the Euclid location like I should have!

Chicken is stale, old. Feels, looks, tastes like its yesterdays chicken, warmed up and passed out as if it was fresh. Definite not fresh. It's been this same way every time I have visited in the last year. I don't frequent KFC often but if it keeps passing out old chicken, I will find some other place with freshly cooked chicken like Pizza Ranch in Ames, Iowa.

Came in for the taser of KFC $108pc bucket deal but requested for instead of 4legs 4thighs I asked for 6legs 2 thighs I like legs they where happy to accommodate but then they realized they where out of legs and said if I wanted regular legs it would be an 11 minute wait or I could take extra crispy I said I was perfectly fine waiting the after a while they handed me my food and I left when I got home I opened my food to find 6 thighs and 2 legs I don’t want any one to get in trouble it was just very annoying when after working all day I just wanted some finger licked good chicken legs and waiting an extra 11 minutes to be sure I got them to only get 2 made me upset

I didn't know how late it was in the day until I brought my dark meat crispy recipe home and bit into it. The coating was so hard I could barely break it and meat was extremely dried out as if it was overcooked white meat instead. This has happened before and I told myself I was never going to KFC after lunch time because they don't ever cook it fresh after that you get what you get left over. I know they don't want to waste food but I think they actually refried it. Surely there's some way to keep it better or at least sell it at a discount when they know they're giving you a nasty product. At least now I know my theory is true because I did it again, unknowingly.

I live in Ankeny and over the years. KFC was one of my favorites when it was run by a general manager, by the name of Jordan, the service and the food was exquisite.
But now that she left and its under new management the food is horrible. The chicken was undercooked, which I end up having to throw away. The service as I went through drive-through, the guy spilled the soda on my car as he handed it to me.
I honestly will never go back to the Ankeny KFC!

Visited on 6/25/25 @ 6:50 pm very friendly cashier and the cook walked out and handed us the carryout bag and said thank you. The order was correct and everyone was polite. They looked short handed but were still nice to customers. I haven't been to KFC for years but I will go back to this one. Although they could work on the appearance it's still a good experience.
Ordered a fan favorite box. Half the fires it should have and they were brown like old grease or overcooked. Under Small pieces of chicken. Definitely not what the advertisement looked like at all. I showed her the difference and the lady said well I could give you more fries I guess. No customer service no apology for the discrepancy, and acted like she didn’t care. I got my money back and went to Hy Vee! Hy Vee had a Great meal great deal! Here is the difference hard to tell but the fries only filled half of the box. And the smallest leg and wing I ever seen.

What happened to KFC? The chicken tenders at kid sized when they used to have great tenders. The fries were old! The best thing was the biscuits! The chicken tenders at KwikStar are better and bigger and cheaper!

Food was ok. Bathrooms are disgusting. We got there just when they opened today and the lobby floor was sticky. Also couldn't find any ketchup.

Not one to write reviews but after many consecutive absolute horrors I must share. Chicken is consistently breaded terribly, over cooked, and just straight gross to look at and inedible. Unfortunate because I love some good kfc but this location has been consistently, time after time, just not worth any time or money to stop at. At least your employees are kind and nice because your food sucks for what the brand expects
