Complete trash. Strips and fries look and taste like a day old. The chicken sandwich had two sorry ass strips as the chicken. They forgot two biscuits and an order of fries. I also had to pull forward and wait 8 more min for this trash. Not going back

If I could, I'd put 0 stars. Please save yourself time and don't go to this KFC in Ankeny. I asked an employee to explain something to me since I was new to ordering and the older lady with glasses started giving attitude. Employees are extremely rude and will talk about you very loud in the back. They also won't give you what you asked for and will not come to the front to fix order. The lady said "I'm not going up there" so I had to wait until someone came.

Countless times I’ve hoped they’d do better but never do. Most fast food batting average is like 80% at kfc it’s closer to like 30%. Soggy, fatty tenders. Overcooked and simultaneously undercooked Mac somehow. Never gotten a fresh Mac once in years from here.
But forget all that and imagine Pepsi Co partners the best holiday soda to kfc and that’s all you want. You ask for it no ice, only to 7/10 times still be handed a cup half full of ice…it’s no wonder I said “no ice” huh?…THEY roll their eyes at YOU like it’s your fault they can’t do their job right. You finally get your drink and what’s this? It’s a grenadine drink! Oh well they definitely atleast mix it right for Pepsi Co to entrust this rollout right? No…it all sits at the bottom, unmixed, bland starry floating on top a river of cranberry grenadine…time…and time…and time again….its just a drink, so I really need to show your employees how to firstly make a drink and secondly act?
It sucks so bad Pepsi Co did this. I just want my damn Starry Cranberry No Ice.

Horrifyingly dirty store. There's a layer of grime on the floor. The kind where when you take a step, and your foot comes up, it clings to your foot and makes a snapping sound when you free yourself. The kitchens seem equally dirty. The drink despensers have old spilled drinks all over them, too. Despite me being the only customer, it took about 30 minutes to make my chicken. Chicken itself was soggy. It's not crispy at all. It's best to go to a different KFC or at least popeyes.

Paid $72.00 for a family meal and extra tenders. As I drove away, we checked the bag. They forgot my tenders and biscuits with the large meal. Drove back. I got the rest of the meal with no apology just "extra butter." The tenders looked like horrible, overcooked and very small for their $20.00 price tag. My family and I will never give our hard earned money to them again!

As much as it cost to eat out any more you would think that they could at the very least fill up the fry container. And everything was cold. I just live down the street and I drove there so wasn't from being outside. What a waste of money. Can't call cause no one answers phone.

Always liked KFC but today ordered 2 piece meal Got a leg and a thigh but they were very small. Looked big with the heavy crust on it but very small pieces of meat to eat. Probably not going to KFC on 1st street in Ankeny again
This restaurant smells so bad when you walk through the door... like a nasty mix of years of uncleaned grime and bleach. Look in the kitchen and you'll see a mess of surfaces that look as if they might never have been cleaned. The hot box where the cooked chicken is kept has glass that looks like a garbage bin got spilled on it. After deciding not to eat there I tried just using the toilet but the smell and filth in there was even worse. This place needs to be torn down and started over with a crew who knows anything at all about cleaning. How in the world do they pass inspection? They pass because the State of Iowa doesn't care to enforce the rules.

I must preface this review by saying I HATE complaining amd leaving negative reviews. I have been I'm the mood for kfc for quite a while, I live 60 miles to the closest one so I don't have many opportunities to go. I decided today is the day. I knew as soon as I opened the door that it wasn't going to go well. There was a terrible smell I could not describe in the entry way then when inside it got worse. The gal helping me wasn't over friendly but she did her job well and took my order. I got my food and sat down to eat. The drum stick and coleslaw was good. The thighs were not cooked all the way through and had this bizarre slime between the skin and meat. Couple this with the gut wrenching smell of the restaurant I subsequently lost my appetite. I went in with the most open mind and willingness to make this work and was extremely disappointed.
