The restaurant its self is very small so I guess cozy atmosphere. I do wish they still delivered pizza. The menu is not large but I am okay with that because what pizzas they do make are very tasty. It is one of the best places in town to get thin crust pizza. The amount of take out orders they produce is mind boggling. People in and out the whole time we were there, pretty much non stop. That tells you something. Not to mention it is staffed by culinary students.
Waited two hours for pick up . No problem. Excited with that wait must be good! Very unhappy . Pizza was cold , spaghetti meatballs like a rock ,garlic bread burnt. My kids ended up making popcorn in hotel after waiting that long to eat . Frustrating!!
I used to love leaning tower, and when they started offering delivery due to COVID I loved them even more. It was the only pizza we could order in the house because everything else around here just doesn't live up. Unfortunately now they have stopped offering delivery even though last time I checked we were still in the middle of the pandemic?? You can't tell me this place doesn't make enough money to offer it as they've been here for years AND it's busy everytime you used to go in there. I don't want to support businesses who stopped supporting those people who are trying to stay home and prevent the spread.
Prior to COVID, we ate here a couple times per month and it's the best pizza around here. We've been ordering delivery lately and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite is the Tower pizza, delicious!
I ordered from leaning tower pizza twice because they are rated #2 in TripAdvisor. During COVID they have dining in closed. I had pizza both times; I recommend the Harrington. Great pizza, four sizes of pies. I also had a ham and cheese sandwich (round hoagie); disappointing. Overall there seems to be a lack of Italian Hoagies, and steak hoagies for that matter, in Iowa.
Im not impressed at all with this place...I paid $20 for crap!!....I think frozen pizza woyld of been better
I do love the Tower's pizza at both locations. however extremely disappointed last time I tried to order DMAAC location i was told they don't deliver to my address. I was told i was in the wrong zip code. (1.8 miles away). When i asked why i wasn't in the wrong zip code the last 2 times i ordered delivery the guy on the phone said "I don't know. thats what my manager said to say". I whole heartedly recommend the pizza. But disappointed in inconsistent policy
I have ate at the Tower since the late 60's it has always been my go to for Pizza, Staff is always very friendly
3 strikes your out, three different times 3 different pizzas all stuck to cardboard not cooked all the way. I'm done sorry uptown only
The service here is very slow even if you order before someone else somehow you end up getting your food last. I ordered before 5 people and didn't get my food until last. Don't expect anybody to acknowledge you while you stand their because they are to busy trying to act busy. At least 8 employees in the back pretty much doing nothing.

We had lunch here on a Friday noon. Place is in an old store front building in 'up-town' Ankeny and looks to be due a remodel. But, pizza was very good! thin crust, cracker style but not too crunchy, softer and chewey. We had a small Bacon Cheeseburger, which had plenty of meats, onions, bacon and just right amount of pickles. It was about 8 or 9 inch and just right size (three, desert pie sized slices each) to share. With a drink and tip, only $23, so price is good. We saw another couple with 'mini' pizza and it was maybe 5 inches in diameter and each $7, so two mini's would be more pizza than a couple needs, and would also cost more. Nice place. good pizza. Was kind of cool in the room, but wind was blowing in every time someone came in front door. Open during noon hours, closed in afternoon, and then open again for dinner crowd.
We love thin crunchy crust and you get this here! In downtown Ankeny away from all of the "new" builds in the area. We tried the corn nuggets and they were good too. Would recommend this!
We have been going to Leaning Tower for many years for their great food and service. Some of our favorites are their pizza, onion rings & cavatelli. You can eat in or order carry out. Enjoy!
Leaning Tower catered our event, the pizza was awesome and they were great to work with.
Best pizza....make sandwiches available please?
