Overall pretty solid meal. The maid-rite was not my favorite, but others in my group liked it. Also to note, the online menu and in store menu vary drastically. In store no wraps, but they have a ton of burgers. Food was a little pricey as well. Workers were very nice

Food was great. There were seven of us on multiple tickets so we understood the food would come in order. Hot fresh onion rings and fries. One malt, which had no malt flavor, took over ten minutes. No one to clear tables. Their “we’re short staffed please be patient “ has been up for months according to my SIL from Minnesota, who was here around six months ago. Staff was working hard but obviously overwhelmed, including the guy who appeared to be running the place. Love the artwork in the women’s room. It should be in the ding room!
As other have said, no more combo baskets for meals anymore. So, you have to order everything separately, and it gets a little bit pricey. We're moving 900 miles south of Ankeny at the end of the September, and my wife wanted a good Guinea Grinder one last time before we leave. Because I'll guarantee you that nobody in Alabama, or anywhere in the South, even knows what these are. Anyway, after Campbell's in Des Moines closed years ago, these took over the first place spot in the Guinea Grinder department. Do yourself a favor, and try one sometime!

Love Maid Rite since I was a child in the 1970s, taste the same! Service was really good, my daughter and wife had for the first time and were very pleased. I was very excited, my last Maid Rite was in 1988!

The cashier with short red hair is a very polite employee he was very respectful and had good manners and I will definitely be returning
Parking: A lot of spots even when there busy there is still plenty of spots to park in some places I go to is hard to find parking when there busy so that’s a plus to there business
A go to place when in Iowa. As good as the maidrite with cheese is you have to try the pizza rite.

I had a maid rite in Southern Iowa that was stupendous, Exit 4 on I35 . This jalapeño cheese maid rite there was bigger, more peppers and cheese. The shake was colder and bigger. This Ankeny store had Ice cream problems and didn't give me chance to not order the soupy mess. Hope they get better

Merle Hay Mall has a location and until recently Valley West Mall had a location. Also look at my profile, it's not fake. Yikes, glad we didn't tell you at the location if this is how you react online
