I'm ashamed to say I've lived in Ankeny for 15 years and had never stepped foot in Pho 85. Luckily, tonight that changed! My husband generally needs convincing to try somewhere new so I was pretty excited when he agreed to go! I have the combination vermicelli noodle bowl and pork dumplings, while my husband had the vermicelli noodle bowl with chicken and Vietnamese egg rolls plus a Vietnamese coffee. I really enjoyed my food and my husband said he would go back! I am very new to pho and Vietnamese food in general so I was taken aback by the lettuce..but rolled with it. The place was very clean, exceptionally quick service and had tons of to go orders being picked up! Go support our restaurants and tip well!

Pho 85 is always good. My wife and I love the Pho Tai and shrimp spring rolls. They actually have my wife's favorite spring rolls. I would say both are top 3 for me. I tried their Vietnamese iced coffee today and it is phenomenal. The staff is also very friendly.

My first experience was via DoorDash this afternoon. I ordered Vermicelli with Pork, Crab Cheese Wontons and a watermelon smoothie with boba (aka bubble tea). It's all delicious. I will definitely get to the restaurant sooner than later, you can count on it.

Very cozy! The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are great. I highly recommend using chopsticks.?It's a great place to go for spending time with friends, and the food is delicious. Their basil and cilantro were so fresh served beside the cooked food, and were a wonderful addition to the flavors already present.

I have friends mothers who make it.....the long way, and Pho_85 is on top. My daughter would like to say the same thing! :)Great job guys. Seating can be limited but I would wait in the cold for this. What the pho you thinking going anywhere else?

I have eaten a lot of Pho and Pho 85 is my favorite. Their broth is the best and their prices are super reasonable for the amount you get. The eggrolls are super crisp and pair well with a super flavorful dipping sauce. And to top it off, definitely get one of their smoothies with boba. We got the mango, and it was great! Super fast quality service too.

New favorite spot. The broth makes the Pho. Dont be intimated if you haven't had it. My favorite is #1 rare steak, throw in the sprouts, lime juice, some jalapeños, extra cilantro, extra order of noodles, use just a little of the chili paste on the table for kick and enjoy a killer meal. Took and buddy for the 1st time and he loved it.

Good food and great service! We got the rare steak, brisket and tripe pho and it was amazing, broth was great for pho in Iowa! I’m excited to have found great pho, we’re definitely coming back!
