This place is amazing the food is so good. I e been missing a GREAT pho place since lemongrass closed in 2022. Pho 85 knocks it out of the park. I’ve had the Pho special here 3 times and everyone it’s been amazing. Tonight I ordered one of the noodle bowls and it was the best meal I’ve had in months. Well done Pho 85 you’re doing an amazing job keep up the great work!!!

I was seated and ordered in a timely fashion. within 2 minutes of ordering the waitress and cook began fighting so loudly the entire restaurant was looking around at one another. After 5 minutes of screaming and fighting I decided to get up and walk out. Extremely unprofessional VERY uncomfortable! I can’t say I’ll be going back after what happened

We ordered takeout last week after my son's haircut and when we came home, they had forgotten my husband's dish altogether. When I called back to let them know, the owner argued with me saying she double checks the order and refused to help. The food was mediocre and they were quite rude to our family when we were in anyway. As someone who is Vietnamese, the food isn't that great and I would not recommend coming to this restaurant.

We love Pho 85! The pho is incredible. I also love their dumplings and Vietnamese sandwiches. It's our go-to when we are too tired to make dinner. Staff is so friendly and the service is quick.

My Special Ladyfriend and I like to seek out little "hidden gem" places that are small and unassuming that most people would walk past. I mention this because I believe that we found one here. The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and I atmosphere was good.We both had the pho with rare steak and it was absolutely fantastic! The broth that they use is perfect and is lava hot, so you can watch the rare steak cook in front of you. The crab and cream cheese wontons are some of the best that I have ever had.Our server was very good, making sure that we had what we needed and that everything was good.The atmosphere is simple but clean. The main attraction is the food.Ultimately, I am looking forward to coming back to enjoy more fantastic pho!!

My husband and I both had the rare beef brisket pho and vegetable spring roles. Having come from Toronto where Vietnamese restaurants are delicious and plentiful, I was looking for a spot to satisfy my craving. This place finally hit tye spot. It was delicious and abundant just like back home. Friendly atmosphere by what looked like a nice family who ran the place. Even the younger ones were kind and hospitable. I would drive the half hour from Ames just to eat here again there is no comparisonKid-friendliness: Saw kids eating there

Okay, honest review. Normally, this place is a consistent 3-star rating. Because of that, we only visit about once every 3-4 months. I’ve eaten pho all over the country and in Vietnam. However, tonight the quality and taste of the food was a 5-star event. So I split the difference. Would gladly revise this to a permanent 5-star rating, but need to see more of the quality I saw tonight. Great job, keep up the good work.

Pho 85 has some of the best Thai in Des Moines! The tofu pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea are always my go to’s. Food always comes out quickly and staff is extremely helpful and even helped my friend pack up her Pho! 10/10 recommend them.

I’ve been here multiple times now coming through Des Moines/ Ankeny.It’s been great every time. The Pho broth is awesome and I like the dumplings a lot as well.Friendly people as well.Would definitely recommend!
I’ve been coming to pho 85 since I’ve been out of high school. It’s my #1 fave spot in Iowa. I come here for my birthday, when I’m feeling down, and any other occasion. It’s very good food. The staff is friendly, fast, and super helpful. The atmosphere is just great, best vietnemase spot I’ll ever go to. I always get the 1b and spring rolls.
