Very flavorful! My 2nd favorite Indian food in the Des Moines metro area

The thali is very nice, specially daal & chicken was too good. It is perfect for single person for lunch.

Ankeny has opened a new Indian restaurant that promises an authentic Indian dining experience. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm, inviting aromas and an ambiance that balances modern decor with traditional Indian elements. Paneer 65, Chicken Pakora, and Apollo Shrimp are absolute standouts. Biryanis are rich in flavor and absolutely delicious and Gulab jamun hits the perfect level of sweetness.

We had a fantastic dinner at Red Chillez Indian Cuisine in Ankeny, IA! We ordered the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken with butter naan, and everything was absolutely delicious. The sauces were perfectly creamy with just the right amount of medium spice, and the naan was incredibly soft and fresh.

The service was top-notch—very friendly staff who made us feel welcome, and they even surprised us with a free mango lassi custard at the end of our meal! The restaurant itself has a modern, clean vibe that made the experience even more enjoyable.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving flavorful, comforting Indian food with great service!

This place is an absolute hidden GEM. From the moment we walked in, we instantly experienced the mouth-watering scents of savory spice. Everything about this place is absolutely incredible. The FOOD. Omg the FOOD. Unbelievably good. The best Indian restaurant in Iowa by far. The butter chicken is so tender and delicious. Out of this world good. The naan bread is so tasty. The dessert was heavenly. We are treated like royalty every time we come in. Always so attentive and friendly. 11/10 couldn’t recommend more!!! We can’t wait to come back!

The most delicious food. The flavors of all the dishes we ordered was just amazing. Also the best service and nicest servers. Definitely going back to try other things on the menu. Keep in mind this is authentic Indian cuisine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone or at least go try it then you’ll find out for yourself How good it is. The rating was 4.9. Before we checked. But this is a five star restaurant all day long.

Hubby and I tried Red Chillez Indian Cuisine today. Food was delicious! I had the Chicken Korma and Hubby had the Chicken Curry. We also had Garlic Naan and split the Baby Corn Manchurian appetizer. All were well prepared and tasted amazing. Very generous servings with enough for a 2nd meal for each of us. The complimentary juice drink at the end of the meal was a very nice touch and much appreciated. Service was friendly and efficient. This was our first time here. We had eaten Indian food once before elsewhere, weren't impressed and thought it just wasn't for us. Decided to try again at Red Chillez and were so glad we did. Also like that you can choose your spice level. We will definitely be back!
