The food was cold and the blonde man's attitude made my kid cry (the cold food just made it worse). There are better fast food restaurants in the area I'll go to from now on.

I went to the drive thru for lunch as I was in a hurry. Waited too long for old food, and the man (manager? Different uniform, blonde, white) seemed annoyed by my presence. Normally racist behavior doesn't bother me but this man is handling my food. Sorry to inconvenience you with my presence, next time I'll just go to Culver's

So I thought I would give sonic another try since moving to Ankeny and it’s a different one. Thought maybe I would have luck with this one but not at all. Very pregnant and all I want was a chili dog, bc it actually sounded appetizing, well got not even half way through and had to stop as I found hair. I felt gross after eating it, made me not want food. These restaurants need to start making employees wear hair nets not ball caps

So unfortunate, We used to love sonic. Today , the staff, food quality, and general customer service was out the window. The staff was rude. Order was wrong. Food we did get was cold. I have heard the service at this location has gone down hill. But oh my. I am not sure how they stay open. The lady working was so rude and nasty , I overheard a customer ask for a receipt. The lady working was so rude and nasty about it. I understand sometimes people are hard to deal with , but the response of the staff, was very unnecessary. I was in the next stall. I was blown away. I was scared to even say something about my food. They would probably split in it. Never again, will I stop here. So unprofessional . And it wasn't even that busy. I sure hope people who work in customer service understand. Sometimes you should take the high road. Not say and do what I witnessed today. And the lady , was in management talking to guests that way. I would hate to see how she treats the staff. Really would just recommend staying away from this location
Have been here multiple times after 6pm, ordering a sonic blast with toppings mixed in. 3/4 of the sonic blast is vanilla ice cream, with maybe a half spoonful of toppings. Have gone back every time for them to remake it, once having a worker commenting that they saw it being made by a coworker and they remembered how it was made poorly without saying anything. Check your orders before you leave!

We ordered cheddar bites and watched the girl working the window eat them out of the bag, the large bag we ordered was half empty when we received them, also the onions on the garlic butter burger was supposed to be grilled onions on it and there were not, as well as our cherry limeade and cranberry limeade was mostly sprite. When the girl brought out our food she didn’t say a word to us until she said oh here’s your receipt and walked away.

We waited at the window for 15 minutes for then to make our blasts, and we were the only people there. No one came to the window to tell us what the wait was. Then when we got them, two of them had shreds of Styrofoam in the ice cream! It was disgusting! However, when I went back to guy made us new ones.
