Love this place it's as close to the teriyaki I use to get on the coast, love the sauce only thing I'll say is sometimes the chicken is way dry but every is usually fire

I ordered a steak bowl with noodles. It came with a salad. I also ordered chicken egg rolls. My friend ordered a chicken bowl with rice salad and an order of crab Rangoon. We went to the Ankeny location. The restaurant was clean, and the young lady who took our order was helpful when we ordered. I wish I could say I loved the food but can't. Having said that, they have 3 locations, so they must be doing something right!!

Great hole in the wall sushi place. Not a very big selection but great price, taste, and quality. If this place was closer I’d come here every week.
It had been a couple years since I was in the area and ate here last. Hudson was very friendly and helped me recall what we ate last time by recounting the ingredients in each rule and getting me exactly what we wanted.
The scarlet roles and spicy edamame were amazing.
I was surprised at how thick the spicy mayo and eel sauces were!

Ordered here. Food came on time. The salad that they say comes with the meal. Comes in the same box as the hot food…. Making the lettuce hot… who wants hot lettuce????

I've been a long time lover of this place for about 5 years, so I would consider myself a regular, however I'm leaving this review now after an interaction that left me feeling so special! I unassumingly went inside after they had closed by ten minutes since the open sign was still lit (they had reduced their hours by 30 minutes since the last time I was there), I was greeted by the same girl that helps me almost every time and explained that they had closed ten minutes ago and that they are limited on the menu but she would still take my order! I apologised profusely since had I known I obviously would not have went in. Not only did she take my order but also gave me extra chicken on top of that, and on one occasion she had given me free Crab Rangoon! I didn't catch her name but she sure knows how to keep customers, I'm so shocked by the way she treated me and I want to say thank you for being absolutely incredible, so this review is for her!! I can't promise you the same treatment but I can promise you delicious food and great customer service. My favourite restaurant of all time by far <3333

A typical chain restaurant. Decent food and large portions. Cooked vegetables would have been better than the salad for the side. The egg rolls were all cabbage.

Discovered this place while door dashing and decided to give it a try. Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff, but I ordered 3 different items online and picked up my food as it was just being finished. Ate in my car so it would be fresh, but was disappointed in the quality of 2 out of the 3 things I ordered.The crab rangoons were good, but the pork dumplings were lacking flavor, and the chicken katsu tasted like it wasn't seasoned at all.Everything was hot and fresh, but as far as quality, it was about what I'd expect from a mediocre all you can eat buffet.

The proteins are cooked well and the ginger dressing is fantastic. The chicken katsu is an absolute must for an appetizer. The prices have really jumped...expect around $20-25/person after tip. When Ken was cooking, he cooked salmon with the skin and made the skin crispy...a real treat. Unfortunately, the new crew doesn't do the same. Gnats were flying around during last visit.
