The food here is incredible and the scenery is second to none here in Iowa. I would highly recommend coming here during the summer months when it’s warm.This place is a core memory for the kid in me, can’t wait to come back.

When ordering, the owner came up and ask if we were ordering drinks. Then said we cannot eat it there if we do not. He delivered our food, said we need to leave because we didn’t order drinks. His exact words “that’s how I pay my lease.” You pay your lease by having satisfied customers who return and refer people to you…….

Food is good, if a little bland. No dine in space, which would be nice when it's too hot. Food was way too expensive for what it was. The Le Mars location is a much better experience.

Terrible food and customer service. After spending $40 for my family of 4 on boiled hotdogs, the manager (presumably) came out in a fit of rage because my child had her water bottle on the table. Water bottles are strictly forbidden, punishable by the bulldog behind the grill.
Kevin, you should be proud of your son Miles... we witnessed a customer complaint today, Miles sat down to listen, offered them a sandwich to take home (which they refused) and then a certificate to come back another time! Miles was extremely polite and professional with them!! Keep up the great work!
I can't speak about the food, but the service was really helpful and friendly with my wife—offering to stay open a little late during a movie in the park.We got ice cream, and it was like a flash back to my childhood. To be fair, it was a kids movie that night. The flavor was delicious—I got the mocha—and the price was reasonable for the area. And who doesn't like ice cream on the beach!?

They make decent malts (the only real malt option around), the dogs are good. Unfortunately, Customer Service isn't much of a thing here (summer job at a fast food stand without real direction,) but that seems to be OK. The business could stand to modernize certain aspects which could greatly improve the customer experience and likely improve overall business. Case in point, Bob's does not publish up to date business hours online. We've found it's best just to stop and get a malt when you're passing by and see they're open rather than planning to cross the lake in hopes that they'll be open...they won't be.
Walked half a mile to find them closed till 5pm.
