The basil pesto shrimp pasta was good! Their miles are also always delicious! I would not recommend the prime rib, an espresso martini or old fashioned from here though.
We are fans of The Waterfront Grille, one of the best restaurants in the Iowa Great Lakes region. The view of the lake is lovely, the menu diverse and with choices that are fresh, nicely prepared and tasty. Nice bar and wine menu - good service and a quiet atmosphere we appreciate. My reason for giving the food a three-star when I usually love it is because I almost always have a small fillet mignon - and of my last four visits, two of the steaks have been perfect and two have been sub-par. The best filets are buttery, perfectly cooked, and have no veins of fat or sinewy bites. Unfortunately, last night the piece was medium rare when I asked for something between medium rare and medium - but more importantly, it wasn't a nice cut. Second time this summer that has happened. I wonder if I need to stress that I want the whole six ounces of steak to be the best cut. Other than that, the dinner was lovely.
Food was good but very expensive. Service was not good. Had to wait for a long time to be seated and there were only a handful of customers. Then had to wait for our check, finally asked for it so we could leave. Doubt we will be going back.

Our waitress Brooklyn was wonderful. Patrick the Manager came by, said hello and asked if everything was okay. It was excellent.

food was good. I had the peach chicken with unsweetened potato fries. I loved the fries. the chicken was god, but probably would try something else next time. I also came with potato soup. that was the star of the meal. daughter had spaghetti. hubby Ahmad jambalaya and enjoyed it. service was great. she brought us birthday brownies as it was Ana's birthday the day before. I think it had coffee ice cream and lots of whipped cream.

Family dinner with six people. Food was great. Drinks were good. Service was attentive. Our servers were great. Wonderful layout in a beautiful setting. Thanks.
My wife and son had prime rib and meat was cooked okay but was very very tough. Was not worth the price paid for. I had the jumbo shrimp and found it be quite tasteless but daughter in-law had the walleye dinner and it was excellent. The service was better than excellent. Have eaten there many times and this was the first time we had a bad experience. Will not let this stop us from eating there again.
We ate here on 9/29/25. We were staying on property so it was very handy. We asked to be seated outside overlooking the water. There were gnats and a very cute kitten named Garette. Neither was very obtrusive.
Our waiter was Benjamin. He was so kind and congenial. Even friendly. Our order was relatively simple...onion rings and a chopped sirloin dinner. Benjamin was so good about the timing of our app, salad and entree. He checked with us often enough to be helpful but not a nag.
The onion rings were very good with a relatively light coating. I had read that the wedge salad was delicious, and those reviewers were right! The chopped sirloin was fantastic and huge (16 oz.). It was probably done a little past medium, but it was still very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were amazing! Skin on, creamy and delicious. We were so glad we shared the app and the entree so we could get a piece of the lemon berry cake to eat back in our room! The tartness of the lemon with the sweetness of the strawberry sauce was the perfect way to cap off the evening!
We were very happy with our experience. Benjamin made it even better with his kind personality! Best of luck with your future plans, Benjamin!

Excellent food! The Oso Bucco and Prime Rib were both top notch. The view and service was excellent. You cannot go wrong woth this place.
Me and my boyfriend came from indiana, food was PERFECT!! Our waitress was great, she even brought us us a candle for the mosquitos. Beautiful outdoor scene, great vibes on the water! I think this was the first time i've ever had a steak cooked the way i wanted it. Such a great experience. Definitely check it out if you can!
Advertised seafood and had none on the menu. No scallops or any other choice.

Got a couple steaks cost about $50 each plate….it wasn’t bad but honestly I’ve had better steaks at Applebees for half the price. Took a bit to get service to begin with we were sitting about 15 minutes before anyone came by-after that service was decent. We did come at a relatively slow time so I can chalk to service side up to minimal staffing-but the overall price for the food wasn’t really worth it in my opinion. I’ve never got any issue paying for good food, and it wasn’t terrible, but $50 steaks were kinda bland.
