Jen and her staff were amazing. Great and attentive service. The salmon was cooked to perfection as were the Old Fashioneds. On our next visit we will be returning! And....OMG the onion rings are !!!!!

Was supposed to be a romantic setting, but basic bar atmosphere. Food was second rate, waitress failed to tell us they were out of a side item until we asked about it should have come with the meal. Didn't offer a replacement. Don't recommend this place for visitors.

Wonderful hostess and attentive staff to begin with. We had three different servers check in on us immediately after being seated. It was finally sorted as to who was going to take care of our table after a few minutes.
40 minute wait only to be presented with the wrong item. When the “server” refreshed our water glasses and was asked about the incorrect order she replied, “I don’t know, you’ll have to ask your waitress.”
Caesar Salad (that accompanied the Shrimp Scampi) was soggy - obviously premade and set aside in the frig to serve and much, much, later time. The wild rice that came with the Scampi was clumpy and sticky. Shrimp and vegetables were pretty good. Stick with the “don’t order seafood in a land-locked state” mantra. The steaks are probably delicious!
High quality restaurant prices and buffet quality presentation with this meal.

Ordered an Old Fashioned...came incomplete with no soda and no requested garnish. One of our group of 4 had a "cold" soup. Salads were so-so, maybe 2 out of 5. Serve was good. Parmesean cheese wheel special was very good. Sorry, won't be returning!

We didn’t have reservations and staff got us a table on a really busy night anyway. I would recommend reservations!
Friendly and extremely helpful and quick waitstaff, the waitresses were very attentive and the restaurant appeared well staffed. New York Style Chowder started our meal off with great flavor and truthfully, I would have taken about a gallon of it home! The Crab Cakes were wonderful, especially paired with the french fried onions that accompanied the dish. Peach and Goat Cheese Salad was fresh, delicious and tasted great with the addition of Steak Strips. Great flavors in every dish as well.
Parking: There are a couple of free parking lots with plenty of spaces in both directions if you don’t mind walking two or three blocks.

I ordered the seared sushi grade ahi tuna, it had a lot of gristle and had to use a knife to cut it. Tastes ok but a lot of gristle. My wife ordered crab cakes but the onions in top were burnt black. Could not get a timely drink because the waitresses were all standing at the bar talking most of the time we were there.

Terrible!! The wait time was ridiculous! We all had the cheese wheel and you’d think they’d serve it fresh and nice piping hot but NO! That dish was the coldest most bland and to topIt off EXPENSIVE! Everyone there was stuck up and I guess if you’re not a regular local and white you get treated like a peasant! The priority was another party that was blowing money at the bar instead of the quality of the food and hospitality! The waitress took my drink and never returned with a refill even though I was clearly not done eating! She even mentioned how I didn’t like the food.. and then offered me a box to go! No lady!! I was gonna choke on your dry chicken and hard cheese!! Next timeI’ll just make my pasta at home! Instead of supporting this place go to Los Pueblos! Hard Pass!

First and foremost, our service/ waitstaff was great, cannot remember her name but her and others we saw and heard knew their jobs and did a great job. Food was cold. Salmon on salmon cedar plank was charred. I would not recommend this place at

A decent place for dinner, but don’t expect anything too ground breaking. It was quite noisy inside!, wether it was drunk people or employees. The employees also literally run around, so it creates a very hectic environment. The seafood chowder is a broth base that has a slight seafood taste and just veggies mixed in, not a “traditional” chowder. The side salads are quite good, I was impressed! It was a generous portion before the entree. I ordered the cedar plank salmon and was a bit underwhelmed with the flavor. Baked potato was cooked well and if you order butter and sour cream on the side, it’s delicious! Overall, good food, but not worth the price or hype.
Parking: Hard to find a spot anywhere on the lake to park but you’ll have that issue with any restaurant here!
Wheelchair accessibility: The tables are pushed together way too much to get a wheelchair or walker through. The tables are also very crowded, with little to no leg room or somewhere to store an AD.

DO NOT EAT HERE! 2+ hours for a terrible dinner. Nine people and not one meal was good. Only saving grace…good drinks and wine so we didn’t care as much about how bad the meal was. We asked to speak to the manager but he or she didn’t show. So disappointed.

On behalf of the Spencer High School-Class of 1973, we want to thank Jennifer Ferrell owner of Yesterday's Restaurant and Catering and her entire staff for the most outstanding meal one could ever want. From the table setups, to the table service to the Garcon who sliced and served the wonderful pork loin, the evening was a HUGE success. My classmates raved about the potato casserole. And the chicken marsala was yummy. Not to mention the heavenly desserts of key lime pie, chocolate covered strawberries and the peanut butter mousse shots and chocolate mousse shots were outstanding. I cannot explain enough how wonderful ALL the food was. This by far was the best special event food we've ever had. KUDOS to all. The event, our 50th class reunion was held at the amazing Okoboji Classic Car Museum in Milford, Iowa. Again, many thanks to Jen Ferrell and her staff from Yesterday's was beyond all our expectations. Job WELL DONE.Warm Regards,Jan Johnson and the entire Spencer High School Class of 1973.
