Gerard was awesome and the wine was tasty! The tasting room was smaller than I expected, but the atmosphere made it feel like home! I’m happy that I found a local winery in the Midwest that had full bodied, red wines! As for whites, the Lacrosse Reserve was also worth going back for. Thank you for the exceptional service and kindness!

I would have loved to have given more stars but the wine we brought home did not taste at all like the one we sampled at the winery. I loved what we tasted , as far as the reds go. They were exactly the taste profile we look for in a red wine. Last night we opened a 2nd bottle and again, the " medicine" taste was apparent. I'd recommend opening the wine and tasting it prior to driving away. We purchased 4 bottles. Yikes!

Went to the winery (2nd time visiting the place) and tasted four wines. There were six wines to try but two of them were too sweet for me. I liked the other four and bought a Norton. Penny was the pourer and she was pleasant to have a conversation. There is a chance I may go for the 12th anniversary celebration. Tastings are free and plenty of parking.

Really nice place to go and have a glass of wine and enjoy nature. Everyone is try friendly there and you can try all their different wines. My favorite of their rose

One of Iowa's best wineries. Any time we are remotely close we stop in and stock up from their vineyards. Try the Norton. To die for if you like dry red wines.

Traveling from Marquette, MI to Missouri in our Airstream, we used Harvest Host to plan our route for stay overs which brought us to Cedar Valley Winery in Batavia, Iowa. We had a lovely experience here. Penny, our host, was very helpful and welcoming. We parked our 22ft trailer between the grape vineyards and the corn fields. We had the opportunity to taste and purchase the wines they had available. We sat outdoors in the gazebo overlooking the vineyards and enjoyed a glass before heading to our trailer to make dinner. This place felt so remote and peaceful even though it was conveniently located off Highway 34. We had a peaceful stay over and have several bottles of wine to further enjoy. The next day we visited the American Gothic Homestead and the Visitor’s Center and found the exhibit to be entertaining and interesting.

Excellent wine and great service. The owner was extremely friendly and informative, I felt like I was visiting a relative. The variety of wines was great. I normally don't like sweeter wines but really enjoyed my samples of their sweet wines. The patio had a great view and was very relaxing. Plus, it was one of the only places open on Monday in Fairfield!
