THE WORLD NEEDS MORE PLACES LIKE THIS. A coworker suggested I take a road trip from Cedar Rapids to an incredible ice cream place in Belle Plaine, Iowa. This place is a hidden gem in wonderful small town USA. Reminiscent of a good old fashioned drive in. Simple menu: burgers, fries, dogs and ice cream. Very friendly staff, quick service and great food at an unbeatable price.

The Ice House is one of our family's favorite places to go. The food... especially the ice cream is amazing and it is a wonderful atmosphere inside.
