Very cool historical grist mill turned into a restaurant. Well worth the drive from Illinois to visit and enjoy a lunch here.

Very interesting place. The building beams and exposed joists are beautiful in their own way. The food was delicious and the portions are very generous. Just know that if you purchase the beef burger, it’s not served with a bun. It’s a hamburger steak. The outside is lovely. If you go around closer to the river, there are nice trees, flowers and grape vines. We will be back next time we are in the area visiting family.

This is a charmer spot in the middle of beautiful Iowa farmland. Right by the river with a beautiful park between.
The building is old and rustic and welcoming. Food was tasty and the proprietors were a pair of attractive mature ladies who treated me and my daughters like honered friends.
I hope to visit this place the next time I am traveling through this neck of the woods.

Great little hideaway. Steaks were small for $35 but you got a half cup of soup, side salad and fresh bread with it. The special drink was good.
